Annyeonghaseyo! 🇰🇷✨

From May 25 to 29, 2026, a vibrant group of 20 students and 3 staff members embarked on an unforgettable journey to Seoul, South Korea, as part of our Internationalisation Programme! It was an action-packed 5 days dedicated to diving deep into Korea’s rich history, vibrant culture, and cutting-edge education system.

Here is a snapshot of our incredible global learning experience:

🎬 Step into the Spotlight at Korea Broadcasting Studio - Our students got a taste of showbiz! They stepped behind the microphones and cameras to try their hand at sound dubbing and even stepped into the shoes of news presenters. Future media moguls in the making!

👑 Living History & Cultural Immersion - We traveled back in time by donning traditional Hanbok and touring the breathtaking Gyeongbokgung Palace. To deepen our historical knowledge, we also visited the majestic Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, marveling at its architectural brilliance.

🇰🇷 Understanding the Past and Present - At the Odusan Observatory, students gained a profound and sober understanding of the history behind the Korean division and the reality of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

💡 The Trip Highlight: Meeting Our Korean Buddies!
The absolute favorite moment for our students was finally meeting their Korean buddies face-to-face! Friendships formed as they engaged in an intellectual exchange, sharing ideas on how students can leverage AI for learning.

Check out some of our favorite moments!📸

A paws-itively meaningful evening at Limbang Woof Woof Day Out 2026 🐾

Our Kranji Art Club students had the opportunity to conduct an origami pet bookmark workshop for members of the community at Stagmont Park. Through creativity, teamwork and service, students engaged participants of all ages while spreading joy through art.

Thank you to Limbang CCC for the opportunity and to everyone who joined us in making the event a memorable one. We are proud of our students for representing the Kranji spirit and contributing meaningfully to the community.

On 16 April 2026, our Secondary 3 G3 Chinese Language (CL), Secondary 4 Higher Chinese Language (HCL) and Secondary 5 G3 Chinese Language (CL) students attended a performance of the iconic local musical, "Lao Jiu" (《老九》). For many students, this was their first experience watching a Chinese musical, providing them with a rich opportunity to deepen their appreciation for the performing arts and local cultural heritage.

The production sparked deep introspection among the students regarding its core theme — the poignant conflict between pursuing one's dreams and confronting practical realities. Relating these struggles to their own lives, students engaged in vibrant discussions and penned thoughtful reflections. To take their learning further, students applied 21st Century Competencies (21CC) by utilising AI and digital drawing tools to creatively visualise the protagonist’s future. This activity showcased their Critical and Inventive Thinking as well as their digital literacy skills.

"The takeaway for me is that regardless of parental expectations, we must make choices that bring us true fulfillment and take full responsibility for them. Living a life based on choices that make us unhappy will only lead to lifelong regret." (Lim Jin Ying, 3-3)

"After watching 'Lao Jiu', I realised that at life's crossroads, there are no absolute right or wrong answers. What matters most is having self-belief and the courage to embrace the consequences of our decisions." (Yeow Bei Ning, 3-3)

Ultimately, this authentic learning experience extended well beyond the classroom. It empowered our students to become active and reflective thinkers, equipping them with essential life skills to navigate future crossroads with resilience and confidence.

Kindness @ Kranji 💜

Kindness @ Kranji is officially underway! Our Sec 2 and 3 PSLs kicked things off by stepping up as facilitators in this week’s CCE lessons — leading their peers in meaningful discussions on upstanding against hurtful behaviours alongside their class mentors. At the same time, our seniors from ACJC ran a Mental Health Awareness booth, supported by our PSLs, busting myths and sparking honest conversations with Kranjians about mental health.

This is just the beginning. 👀 Next Wednesday, our Peer Support Board has a lineup of fun activities ready for you — remember to check them out during your respective recesses!

Drug Victims Remembrance Day

On Monday morning, our school came together during assembly to observe Drug Victim Remembrance Day — a moment to pause, reflect, and remember those whose lives have been affected by drug abuse.

It’s easy to think of drug addiction as something distant, but the reality is that it touches families, friendships, and communities closer than we realise. It was a reminder that behind every statistic is a person, a story, and a life that mattered.

Let’s carry this awareness beyond assembly. Say no to drugs. Stand up for those who can’t.

From industry insights to alumni wisdom, our annual Education and Career Guidance (ECG) Fair was an absolute blast! Our students got a front-row seat to the "real world" of work and connected with various Post-Secondary Education Institutions (PSEIs) to map out their future. This year, we were also thrilled to welcome parents into the conversation, supporting our students as they take these important first steps toward their post-secondary future!

Today marks the official start of:
• 2026 Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercises
• ITE & Polytechnic Early Admissions Exercise (EAE)

To our graduating students: This is your moment! Be sure to check the respective school websites for specific requirements and deadlines.

We hope the ECG Fair gave you the clarity and confidence you need to take that next step. Whether it’s your dream course or a new passion, we’re rooting for you as you embark on this exciting new chapter!

All the best, Class of 2026! 💪🎓

Leader’s Day 2026 🔥

Held on 20 April, this year’s Leader’s Day beautifully captured the spirit of leadership as a continuous journey. The theme symbolises the transition from outgoing leaders to incoming ones — honouring the dedication and contributions of those who have served, while welcoming a new generation ready to step forward. The “flame” represents the values, experiences, and lessons passed on, reminding us that leadership is built on trust, mentorship, and a shared purpose.

In bringing this vision to life, our Student Council (SC) and Peer Support Board (PSB) EXCO truly challenged the process. Faced with unexpected venue constraints, they adapted, innovated, and reimagined the experience — transforming Leader’s Day into a dynamic YouTube livestream that felt like a star-studded awards ceremony.

Leader’s Day is more than just an event — it is a celebration of every student leader who has chosen to step forward, to serve, and to lead. We believe that our leaders will uphold strong values and continue to be role models to all Kranjians, carrying the flame forward with purpose and pride.

Congratulations to all the student leaders!🔥✨
