🚨 Scam Awareness Starts with You! 🛡️

The Community Policing Unit officers from Changi Neighbourhood Police Centre joined residents of Savannah Condo for their Safety and Security Carnival, bringing important scam prevention messages closer to the community! 👮🏻‍♂️🏡

Through our anti-scam outreach booth, officers interacted with residents of all ages, raising awareness of the latest scam trends and sharing useful tips on how to spot suspicious activities and avoid falling prey to scammers.

Residents also had the opportunity to learn more about ScamShield and how it can serve as an additional layer of protection against scams. 📱

Such community engagements provide a valuable platform for us to connect with residents, strengthen crime prevention awareness and encourage everyone to play an active role in keeping our neighbourhood safe.

Remember, a little awareness goes a long way in preventing scams! 💪

🛡️ Keeping Our Community Safe from Scams! 👮🏻‍♂️

In conjunction with the Changi Village Evacuation Exercise, Community Policing Unit officers from Changi Neighbourhood Police Centre took the opportunity to raise awareness about scam prevention through an interactive outreach booth.

Our officers engaged residents and visitors, highlighting common scam tactics and sharing practical ways to protect themselves from falling victim to scams. Participants were also introduced to ScamShield, which provides useful resources and tools to help combat scams. 📱

Beyond emergency preparedness, staying informed about scams is equally important in keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe.

We hope everyone walked away with valuable knowledge and a greater awareness of how to stay one step ahead of scammers!

👮‍♂️🚓 Learning About Safety with Our Little Ones!

Our Community Policing Officers from Changi Neighbourhood Police Centre were delighted to be invited to M.Y Childcare, located at 113 Tampines Street 11, for an engaging and educational session with the young children! 👧👦

During the visit, our officers shared important safety tips through interactive activities, including a road safety drill, where the children learnt about safe road-crossing practices and the importance of following traffic rules. 🚦🚸

Officers also introduced age-appropriate topics on youth crime prevention, helping the children understand the importance of making good choices, respecting others and staying safe.

One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity for the children to get an up-close look at our New Generation Fast Response Car (NGFRC)! 🚓✨ The children were excited to explore and learn more about the vehicle used by our officers in their daily duties.

A big thank you to M.Y Childcare for the warm invitation and wonderful hospitality! We hope the session was both fun and meaningful for the little ones as we continue to nurture safety awareness from a young age. 💙

👮‍♂️🛡️ Staying Scam-Savvy Together at SUTD!

Our Community Policing Officers from Changi Neighbourhood Police Centre were delighted to be invited by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) to set up a scam awareness booth and engage with the university community!

During the engagement, our officers shared insights into the latest scam trends and tactics used by scammers, highlighting the importance of staying vigilant and recognising potential scam red flags. 📱⚠️

Participants also learnt more about ScamShield and how it can help them identify, check and report suspicious calls, messages and potential scams.

Through these meaningful interactions, we hope to empower everyone with the knowledge and tools to better protect themselves and their loved ones from falling victim to scams.

🎤Beware of scammers during concert season

$328,000 have already been lost to concert ticket scams in the first half of 2026!

Victims not only lost money, but also the opportunity to see their idols!

Scammers would pose as ticket sellers on online platforms and use fake screenshots of tickets and urgency tactics to pressure victims into making payment.

Victims only discover they have been scammed when tickets are not delivered, the seller becomes uncontactable or the tickets turn out to be invalid at the venue.

✅ Only buy from authorised platforms like Ticketmaster.

✅ Those with resold tickets will not be allowed into the venue and will be turned away from the concert with no refund.

✅ Call and check with the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline at 1799 if you are unsure if something is a scam! ☎️

Our Community Policing Officers were at the Go-Ahead Singapore public roadshow held at East Coast Bus Depot, engaging members of the public and sharing useful crime prevention tips on scam awareness and the Community Watch Scheme (CWS).

Through conversations and interactive engagement, our officers highlighted common scam tactics and shared simple ways to stay protected, such as verifying suspicious requests and safeguarding personal and banking information. 📱⚠️

Members of the public also learnt more about the Community Watch Scheme and how everyone can play a part in staying vigilant, looking out for one another and keeping our community safe.

Our Community Policing Officers recently conducted a community engagement talk with dormitory workers at SCB Building Construction CTQ, sharing useful crime prevention and scam awareness tips to help them stay safe and vigilant.

During the session, officers highlighted common crimes and concerns relevant to dormitory workers, along with practical tips on protecting themselves and their belongings. Officers also shared about common scam tactics and how to recognise suspicious calls, messages and requests for money or personal information. 📱⚠️

Through such engagements, we hope to raise awareness and equip our dormitory community with the knowledge to better protect themselves from crime and scams.

Say hello to W/Sgt Amirah Huda, one of the newest members of the Changi Neighbourhood Police Centre family! 👋

W/Sgt Amirah looks forward to serving the community, getting to know our residents and working together with everyone to keep our neighbourhood safe and secure.

Beyond the uniform, she enjoys playing team sports, which keeps her active and gives her the opportunity to bond and have fun with others. 🏃‍♀️🏀

You may spot W/Sgt Amirah around the Changi community during our patrols and engagements. If you do, don’t be shy — come over and say hello! 😊

*Government Officials Impersonation Scams involving Harvey Norman staff*

Scammers have impersonated staff from Harvey Norman and called victims, claiming that they made purchases or have pending deliveries.

When victims deny making purchases, scammers would claim that victims’ personal details may have been exploited, and transfer their calls to fake MAS officers.

The fake officers would allege victims of being involved in criminal activities, and ask victims to transfer money/ hand over valuables to support “investigations.

*Stay Alert!*

🚨 Govt officials will never ask you to transfer money, cryptocurrencies or hand over valuables over a call.

❌ Calls cannot be transferred from any agencies to the Police or MAS.
