Our school will be having its annual HAI Star Awards and Foundress Day celebration tomorrow, 29/5/2026. The event aims to recognise our students for their resilience and effort and celebrate their success in the academic and non-academic domains. The event is also an important occasion for HAIsians to pay tribute to our foundress, Blessed Mary of the Passion, who enabled the growth of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary and made the founding of our school possible.

This ceremony will be broadcast live on the school’s page (Hai Sing Catholic School).

Hai Sing Catholic School warmly welcomed students and staff from Sekolah Regina Pacis, Jakarta, Indonesia, for a meaningful two-day immersion programme. During their visit, the students participated in classroom lessons and co-curricular activities, gaining a firsthand experience of school life at Hai Sing.

The programme also included outdoor learning at Pasir Ris Park and the nearby mangrove swamp, where students explored Singapore’s natural environment. Our Hai Sing student hosts played an important role in guiding and accompanying their Indonesian peers throughout the visit, fostering friendship and cultural exchange.

Sekolah Regina Pacis, like Hai Sing, is an FMM school, and we share strong common values. This visit continues the spirit of partnership following Hai Sing’s visit to Jakarta last year.

Today, our Catholic Fellowship community gathered for Maundy Thursday, pausing to reflect on our Lenten journey. Through the washing of His disciples’ feet, Jesus reminds us that true love is found in humble service.

Several students from our Catholic Fellowship team had the opportunity to personally experience the feet-washing ceremony. In this simple yet powerful act, they encountered a profound lesson in humility, vulnerability, and love—both in serving others and in allowing themselves to be served.

May we continue to carry this spirit of compassion and care into our daily lives.

Our school proudly held the Uniformed Groups (UG) Passing Out Parade to honour our graduating cadets from NPCC, NCC and St John's Brigade. The ceremony marked an important milestone as our Secondary 4 cadets formally passed on their responsibilities to the next generation of student leaders.

Throughout their journey in the Uniformed Groups, the graduating cadets have demonstrated discipline, resilience, leadership and a strong spirit of service. Their commitment to training, teamwork and service has contributed greatly to the growth and achievements of their respective units and the school community. We also extend our appreciation to the UG teachers, instructors and cadet leaders for their guidance and mentorship.

As they move on to the next chapter of their journey, we hope the values and experiences gained in their UG will continue to guide them in becoming purposeful students, caring leaders and responsible citizens.

Our Secondary 3 students recently went on a Learning Journey to Singapore’s Parliament House, where they explored how laws are made and how Singapore’s system of governance works.

From learning about the various roles of Members of Parliament to understanding how debates and decision-making shape national policies, students gained valuable insights into how our country is governed.

The experience deepened their appreciation of civic participation and responsibility, and helped them better understand their role as informed and active citizens of Singapore. ✨

Our students had the privilege of visiting five beautiful places of worship this month. A heartfelt thank you to the Central Sikh Temple, Angullia Mosque, Maghain Aboth Synagogue, Novena Church, and The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd for welcoming us with such warmth and generosity.

Seeing our students ask thoughtful questions, listen with open hearts, and connect across differences reminds us that some of of the most important lessons are found in our experiences beyond the classroom. Thank you to all the guides who so generously shared their time, stories, and traditions. Our students walked away not just with knowledge, but with deeper respect and appreciation for the rich tapestry of faiths that make multi-racial, multi-religious Singapore truly special.

On top of the sustainability workshop, this year’s S3 Beyond School Experience gave students opportunities to rediscover their strengths, explore their passions, and develop the courage to fail — all with a growth mindset.

Through an ECG talk and meaningful classroom conversations on post-secondary pathways, students reflected on their aspirations and learned that success is not always a straight path. In their CCA groupings, the Personal Advancement and Development in Leadership (PAdDLe) programme encouraged them to step up, collaborate, and learn from mistakes as they carried out their duties as CCA leaders and seniors. These experiences reminded our HAIsians that growth happens when they try, reflect, and keep going — even when things don’t go perfectly.

This year, HAIsians observed Total Defence Day (TDD) through a power and digital connectivity disruption, and a special TDD lesson involving roleplay.
The classrooms were filled with laughter as students threw themselves into their roles! Afterwards, we had deeper conversations about how prolonged disruptions would affect society, and how each of us have a part to play in Singapore's Total Defence.

It was heartening to hear their thoughtful reflections on empathy, kindness and cooperation during tough times. Fun, a little mayhem, and meaningful learning all rolled into one morning!

🧧🐎 Our school celebrated Chinese New Year with a vibrant day of festivities filled with creativity, teamwork, and meaningful opportunities for students to bond!

Students took part in various activites such as a horse mascot-making competition to welcome the Year of the Horse, as well as an inter-class Chinese New Year video competition that showcased their creativity and school spirit. During the concert, we were treated to a series of uplifting performances which filled the hall with energy, joy, and festive cheer. 🎶✨
