世界都市サミット（WCS）が本年６月にシンガポールで開催されます。
世界都市サミットとは、各国の政府指導者や企業、専門家が一堂に会し、持続可能で住みやすい都市づくりに関する最新の取組や都市ソリューションを共有する国際会議です。2008年の開始以来、世界250以上の都市が参加しており、都市間の連携や新たなパートナーシップの構築の場として注目されてきました。この度、自治体国際化協会（クレア）シンガポール事務所は、本サミットの戦略的パートナーとなりました。

The World Cities Summit (WCS) will be held this June in Singapore. WCS is a global platform that brings together government leaders, industry representatives, and experts from around the world to share the latest initiatives and urban solutions for building liveable and sustainable cities.

Since its launch in 2008, the Summit has welcomed participants from over 250 cities and continues to be recognised as a key platform for fostering collaboration and building new partnerships among cities.

We are also pleased to share that J.CLAIR Singapore has become a Strategic Partner of WCS 2026.

New Products Developed by Traditional Industry Businesses in Kyoto City to Launch at LUMINE Singapore
　
Starting from February 13, 2026, sales will begin at LUMINE Singapore during 　the Kyoto City traditional crafts pop-up event titled “THE KYOTO Tradition, Transformed.”
On the first day of the event, a BtoB business matching session aimed at expanding future sales channels will be held. On the following day, a workshop conducted by Kyoto traditional craft artisans will also take place.

【　The 15th Iwate Manga Award　】
The 15th Iwate Manga Award contest aims to use manga as a medium to promote the many appeals of our prefecture and to share Iwate’s brilliant manga culture.
All entries must be original works that have not been previously submitted or published, and must have something to do with Iwate.
All genres are accepted, and you may submit to either of the following categories:

*General category – create your own short story that focuses on anything related to Iwate
*1-4 panel (koma) manga category – create a one or more panel manga about Iwate.
*Illustration category – create illustrations on anything related to Iwate

In addition to receiving a monetary award, the winners of the grand prize and excellence award in the “General category” will be published on Comic Iwate WEB.
For entries that have passed the first screening, there will be an opportunity for artists to receive constructive criticism regarding their work from a panel of comic magazine editors.

The “1-4 panel manga category” will be further divided into general (high school and above) or junior divisions and judged separately.
Entries from all ages, beginners or professionals, are welcome.
Successfully selected submissions may be published on the Comic Iwate WEB page.

There is also an illustration category where multiple entries are welcome. Please send us your wonderful creations!
We look forward to seeing works that freely visualize Iwate!

For digital submissions, you will be able to easily submit them via the online submission form on the official website.

【　「第15回いわてマンガ大賞」コンテスト　】
岩手県では、岩手のマンガ文化の振興と、マンガを活用した本県の魅力を発信することを目的に、「第15回いわてマンガ大賞」コンテストを開催します。

募集する作品は岩手に関連のあるもので、ジャンルを問わず未発表・未投稿のオリジナル作品です。
募集部門は、「一般部門」と「１～４コマ部門」（２コマ、３コママンガも可）、「イラスト部門」の３部門です。

「一般部門」の大賞・優秀賞作品は、賞金のほかに、岩手県が運営するインターネットサイト「コミックいわてＷＥＢ」に作品を掲載します。
また、一次審査を通過した作品を対象として、複数名の漫画編集者から作品へのアドバイスを受ける機会を設けます。

「１～４コマ部門」では、一般の部（高校生以上）、中学生以下の部ごとに賞を選出することとしており、小さいお子様からプロの方まで気軽に応募できます。
入賞作品は、「コミックいわてＷＥＢ」への掲載を予定しています。

また、「イラスト部門」では、１点から応募できますので、ぜひふるってご応募ください。
岩手を自由に思い描いた作品をお待ちしています。

デジタル原稿は、ホームページの応募フォームから簡単に応募できます。

県内外、国外からもたくさんのご応募をお待ちしております。

We exhibited at the One Punggol Summer Festival on 21st&22nd June!
We promoted various Japanese local governments and their attractions to visitors at One Punggol.
We had many visitors, including those planning their first trip to Japan and repeat travelers.
There was strong interest in regions such as Kyushu, Hokuriku, and Kansai.
J.CLAIR Singapore will continue to promote the unique charms of Japan’s local regions.
We also had a great time with our Garapon raffle(Japanese lucky draw) — it was our first time trying it!
We hope you'll look forward to our next event.

Submissions are OPEN for the 14th installment of the Manga Kingdom Tottori International Comic Art Contest, which includes a ‘U-15 Youth Manga Artist Prize’ for entrants aged 15 years and under. The contest is open to artists worldwide and works will be accepted in any language!
This year’s theme is ‘Promise’.
The deadline for entries is Sunday August 31st (JST).
The Grand Prize winner will receive a cash prize of \500,000. Other successful entrants will also be invited to Tottori Prefecture for the award ceremony and the winning works will be compiled into a published collection. Be sure to get your entries in before the deadline!
