Last chance to participate in the survey on living conditions! There are still letters to be picked up at the library, if you recieved an email or sms about this.

This survey will be informing political and scientific studies in years to come, so it’s one of few chances for the inhabitants of Longyearbyen to affect the decisions made by the Norwegian government.

If you’re registered as a permanent resident of Longyearbyen and didn’t receive the survey in your Altinn, stop by the library today or tomorrow and ask for a letter with your name on it :)

The library will be closing at 16:00 today! Self-service is still open until 22:00 as usual :)

The Living Conditions Survey in Longyearbyen

Statistics Norway (SSB: Statistisk sentralbyrå) is currently doing a "Living Conditions Survey" here in Longyearbyen. In the survey you'll be asked questions about life here, health, work, and housing.

Your reply matters!
This survey will be an important indicator of how life in Longyearbyen is perceived by all it's permanent residents. It will be refered to and hopefully influence political decisions regarding Svalbard in the future.

All permanent residents over 16 years old (registered for 6 months or more) should have recieved a letter in Altinn and a text message from SSB.

If you didn't recieve a message in Altinn or by SMS, but still feel like you qualify: come by the library and ask for the survey, and we might have a letter with your name on it here.

Vi tar ned soltegningene fra biblioteket før påske ☀️ Om du vil hente ditt barns tegning må det gjøres iløpet av neste uke :) Anbefales å ha med kunstneren, da vi ikke kan bistå lokalisere ditt barns tegning.

We'll be taking down the sun drawings from the library before easter ☀️ If you want to collect your childs drawing you have to do so sometime next week :) Recommended to bring the artist along, since we can't help you in finding your childs drawing.
