Minister of Youth Affairs Hon Alimamy Kamara in his statement commended the Sierra Leone YMCA for the good work they have been doing for the past 103 years in the country. He categorised the YMCA-SL as one of the few trusted Non-Governmental Organizations in Sierra Leone.
He highlighted the impact of the YMCA’s interventions, with particular reference to the Ebola Virus Disease eradication campaign, the Slum Communities and that of its youth empowerment programmes that are now being acclaimed nationally. He pledged his support towards the work of the Association and thanked the leaders for YMCA’s support to the Government of Sierra Leone’s (GOSL’s) National Youth Farm Project.

The Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs and staff of MOYA yesterday 27th Octorber meets with his Development Partners , Youth Serving Agencies, Civil Societies to chart the way forward for the Implementation of the last MRU resolutions in Conakry Guniea on the post Ebola Recovering plan on the theme " Youth Empowerment to harness the Demographic Dividend ( YE4DD). There are key Priority Actions this Program is going to look into.
Component 1: Youth Ecnomic and Social Empowerment.
1.1. Provide Young people with education and skills training to prepare them for the labour market and address the issue of skills mismatch
1.2. Provide young people with decent job opportunities
1.3. Empower young people and create a cohort of young leaders.

Parliament to advocate for increase in Budget on Youth Affairs .
The Hon. Alimamy A. Kamara Minister of Youth Affairs and his team yesterday 21st September 2015 met with the Parliament oversight Committee on Youth Affairs and the Country Representative of UNFPA . The meeting was held at the Conference room of the Ministry.
The purpose of the meeting is to give updates to Committee members about programms & activities of the Ministry and how the Committee can help the Ministry to facilitate and improve on Budget Allocations for the Youth Sector. see photos 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

The Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs on the 18th September 2015, meet with the Young people of Tonkolili District Magburaka to chart the way forward for the post Ebola Recovering plan. The young people had the opportunity to ask questions and make further recommendations to the Hon. Minister who was so please to hear their voice and encourage them to develop the right mindset that would help them transform their lives.
The Hon. Minister pleaded to the respective Authorities who were in attendance to give their lands to the young people of Tonkolili District Magburaka for the Establishment of a District Recrational Center, District Youth farm. He entreated them not to be used by politicians and also let them stop Condemning themselves as he vows by his last breath to defend the cause of young people as their humble servant . The Hon. Minister concluded by advising the Young people to avoid the Consumption of harmful drugs which he said must be elimated. The Minster applauded the Youths for recongnising and appreciating the good works of HE EBK.

Bo Youths Laud Youth Minister's Efforts to Include Youth in Post Ebola Plan

The Hon.Minister of Youth Affairs on 4th September 2015, met with the Young People of Bo District at the Bo District Multi Purpose Hall Sawa Road to discuse the Post Ebola plan and Strategies of His Excellence Dr.Ernest Bai Koroma to place the Young People @ the Central stage of our Nation's development. In the statement of the Hon.
Representative of YES Project Ibrahim Ginger Sheriff said they would like to have some form of identification of workers and asked that their salaries should be paid on time.
Representing Petty Traders union Mohamed Kamara requested for business loans and a place to sell.
Representing the Bike Riders union Shaku Bio said they have over 2,0000 riders in Bo City . He requested that the Minister should advocate on their behalf in relation to licensing their bikes as it too expensive .

1. The Establishment of a National Youth Service Schme for University graduate
2. The Sustainability of the Drainage Clearing Project for basic livelihood, the Replication of the National Youth Farm at District level, The Construction of the Ghana type Boats for Youths in the river rihine areas. He further Educate them on the Revised National Youth Policy
In his final statement the Minister did adviced the Young People of Bo District to stay away from harmful drugs that will always make politician to use them to parpritrate violence and Ranko in their various Communities .
