The mandate of the central government is expiring without a credible agreement on elections, exposing a dangerous vacuum of leadership and legitimacy. At the same time, the continued assault and coercive actions against certain federal member states are not only reckless—they are a direct threat to the federal structure and a betrayal of the principles meant to hold Somalia together.

This pattern of unilateralism and aggression is eroding trust, deepening divisions, and placing the nation’s fragile security at grave risk. If this course is not urgently corrected, Somalia is being driven toward a perilous path—one that risks institutional collapse, internal fragmentation, and ultimately self-destruction.

The warning signs are clear: without inclusive dialogue, respect for federalism, and a genuine commitment to a lawful electoral process, the country’s future will not just be uncertain—it will be dangerously compromised.

A Message to Somalia’s Leaders

The failure of the current Somali government administration, together with an opposition that has lost direction and purpose, has placed our nation at a dangerous crossroads. The destiny of our country is being mishandled, and with it, the hopes of millions of citizens are fading.

Our people are enduring catastrophic drought, dying from thirst and hunger, suffering under unbearable economic burdens, and losing faith in leadership. Families are struggling to survive. Youth are losing hope for their future. This is not just a political crisis — it is a humanitarian tragedy.

To all leaders, whether in government or opposition, we say this:
If you have become careless about the suffering of your people, then at least care about your legacy. History is unforgiving. It will remember who stood up for the nation — and who remained silent while their people suffered.

Leadership is not about power. It is about responsibility. It is about protecting the weak, serving the nation, and safeguarding the future.

Somalia deserves better. The people deserve better. The time to act is now.
