I would like to officially inform you that with effect from today I have officially given the page responsibilities to our brother Mr. Ben. Nyamork.

I am taken up by other responsibilities that might not allow me to constantly update you as much as you need and as such I have thought it wise to allow him be the admin so that he can be updating you as frequent as possible.

39th Anniversary of SPLA Revolution Commemorated in an extraordinary way in Ayod County - Jonglei State.

The commissioner of Ayod County Hon.James Chuol Jiek Bol and his entire administration celebrated the SPLA revolution day in an extraordinary manner.

The commissioner call in all his entire administration from all the corners of Ayod County to come and share the joyous day of the army in the county headquarters. All the civil administrators, traditional authority leaders, youth leaders, women leaders and all other County officials and intellectuals all gathered in Ayod to celebrate, rejoice and appreciates the sacrifices made by their heroes and heroines during the Liberation days.

Hon. Chuol urge the people of Ayod County and South Sudanese in general to always unite and work together in order to achieve the impossible as being done by the gallant SPLA forces those days, he said unity is the only way for our beloved country to progress and develop like the rest of the world. He urge our people to embrace themselves and not let their political affiliations break our long term bond that enables our martyrs to liberate us.

Hon. Chuol admit that yes there a lot of challenges being faced by our people today but they cannot measure to the challenges we were facing under the Arab rule.

He appreciated and recognized all the sacrifices made by our heroes and heroines and also encouraged our people to continue to support their beloved families through any possible way available to us, because it's their dedication commitment and sacrifices that set us free today..

He reminded the people of Ayod County of their significance in the revolution history of South Sudan as Ayod was among the few towns were the first bullets were fired at the enemy leading to the formation of SPLA in 1983.

He reminded Ayodians that it was their brave son William Nyuon Bany who defied the orders of his northern commander on 16th June 1983 which resulted into Ayod mutiny where William flash out the enemies and threw their commander ( Ali ) into the historical well ( yinbhäär) that still exist to date in Ayod town. He urge the people of Ayod to always know that they are very important part of South Sudan history making and should always remain loyal to the Country.

Please protect the civilians and their properties at all cost", He urge the men and women in uniforms.

Security Update from Ayod County

3rd May 2022.
Three (3) Separate attacks launched on Ayod County by Murle raiders/bandits yesterday.

This serves to inform the general public, especially the people of Jonglei State that Murle youths have continued to breach the recent peace agreements signed between Greater pibor and Jonglei State.

In recent months raiders/bandits from greater Pibor have continuously launched attacks on several occasions in Jonglei State, we have been resisting attacks on different locations in Ayod County.

Yesterday they launched three separate coordinated attacks in three locations in Ayod County..

The first attack occurred at 11 - 12am near the spiritual leader's Camp in Gul area. One person was injured in this attack and the youths managed to seize three guns from the raiders.

The second attack happened around 5pm at Kuachdeng payam and no injury was sustained by the youths, and the last one took place around Piir-garhäjängtiap where bandits were found on the way by the commissioner’s es**rt that was returning to Ayod town from Gul area, the bandits were seen on the road, fired at, and they ran to the bush..

Only one injury was sustained in all these incidences and no Cattle was taken..

We therefore call on the authorities in Greater Pibor to put more efforts on peace implementation in greater Jonglei because one sided implementation may lead to the collapse of the entire agreement with time, something which we don't wish to happen.
Therefore, creating stability in Greater Jonglei should be our collective responsibility...

Korwai Payam flag raised Officially.

18th April 2022.
The commissioner of Ayod County Hon.James Chuol Jiek Bol has yesterday evening raised the flag of Korwai Payam officially in front of all the delegates of the four counties of Ayod, Akobo, Nyirol and Uror who were all in Korwai for the second phase of Intra- Gawaar and Lou Community Dialogue.

In a brief remark he made shortly after the exercise, the commissioner assure the people of Korwai on his commitment to ensure that Korwai Payam receives all the priviledges and services being enjoyed by all the other payams and people of Ayod County.

He also urge all the people of Ayod County to work cooperatively with the people of Korwai Payam.

He also urge the people of Korwai Payam to unite their hands and work together so that they can be able to rebuild Korwai and take it to another level.

He also applaud them for their unity and hard work

Delegates from the three counties of Greater Lou also thanks and appreciated the people of Korwai for the cordial reception they have given to the delegates and the services they had offered despite the fact that they are a new administration that lack many things..

Intra Gawaar and Lou Community Dialogue - Phase II held in Korwai Payam of Ayod County was officially closed by the host commissioner, Hon. James Chuol Jiek Bol yesterday.
The following were the main areas of discussion:

1- Review on the Resolutions of the first dialogues that were conducted in Paluony, Motot and Lankien respectively. Looking keenly on what work and what didn't work.
2- Status of the Murle and Nuer Peace Accords in line with Pieri Action Plan for Peace Agreement.
3- Discussion on the upcoming Nuer Agenda for Reconciliation.

With due respect and much honor to the general public and the people of Ayod County in particular, this serves to officially inform you that the Executive Director of Ayod County Mr. Machar Ruot Rom has been relieved yesterday and immediately replaced with Mr. Thomas Tut Kuer Bum to act temporarily as the Executive Director to avoid administrative vacuum as the commissioner waits for the names of the nominees from the leadership of the SPLM - IO in Ayod County.

Three nominees shall be presented to the commissioner by the SPLM - IO leadership and the commissioner shall appoint one of them to replace Mr. Machar permanently.

Thomas has picked up his role yesterday immediately after the briefing and he is currently discharging all his administrative duties.

We hope for the best ...

Ayod and it's neighbors share more than just a border, our strong historical ties and common aspirations to deliver prosperity to our people have always been central to our cooperation.

I believe only peaceful coexistence and increased stability is what can allow us to implement our ambitious joint actions to speed up development in naath land.
We cannot let unsupported decision of few criminals push us to war among ourselves, their horrific act is not supported by the authorities in greater Lou nor the civil population in greater Lou and as such I believe their act can't be the cause of war with our brothers.

We are together on top of this matter with our counterparts in greater Lou to ensure that these criminals are identified and dealt with individually.

I am calling on all of you to prioritize peace and discourage our youths from acts of revenge.

Hon. Commissioner addressing the people of Ayod County on his return from Uror County.

Call for calm and patience.

22nd Feb 2022.
With due respect and much honor to the general public and the people of Ayod County in particular, I am writing this piece to once again urge you to remain calm and be patience as we work with authorities in greater Lou on how these hostilities and constanst attacks can be brought to an end. We are also working hand in hand with them on how these perpetrators can be identified, apprehended and brought to book and Hon. Bol Makuei the commissioner of Nyirol has even started this mission, he has been clashing with the raiders in the last few weeks and he even recovered some Cattle and send them back to us.

The raiders and highway bandits have been identified to be from karram area of Uror County and they are joined by few criminals from Pading area of Nyirol County, it's good that their areas are identified and the authorities in greater Lou are doing all they could to bring them to book and ensure that they are dislodged from their hideout.

We have lost 12 people and 14 individuals mostly women and children sustained gun wounds and the patients were airlifted for treatment today.

The Authorities in greater Lou also agreed to compensate all those whose killers were identified in the previous attacks.

I am urging all our youth leaders, chiefs, intellectuals, MPs and all the government officials to also spread messages of peace and prioritize dialogue on both sides.

Message of condolence to the people of Normanyang ( G**k).

19th Feb 2022.
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Ayod County, I would like to convey my heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives and friends of all those who lost their precious lives in the recent surprise attack launched on a cattle camp in G**k by Lou youths.

The barbaric attack that has led to lost of many lives and left several others wounded mostly women and children is an unacceptable act that could derail the existing peaceful coexistence that had existed for decades between Greater Lou and Gawaar. I condemned this horrific attack in the strongest term possible and call on the authorities in Greater Lou to search, apprehend and bring these criminals to book.

It's the responsibility of the authorities in greater Lou to deal with these criminals mercilessly so that their act do not ruin our long term peaceful coexistence.

I also call on the people of Ayod County to take heart, remain calm and allow the authorities in greater Lou to handle the situation.

Meanwhile, I shall be in G**k soon.
