Healthcare
The main goal of the Healthcare Ministry in Jonglei state is to improve health and wellness, provision Basic Packages of Health and Nutrition Services (BPHNS), setting efficient health system.
The Health system of the Republic of South Sudan is guided by three overarching goals that focus on
– improving people’s health and wellness,
– providing needed health care and services,
– and ensuring the health system is managed effectively and efficiently.

Fishing
We have a striving fishing industry in Jonglei State. The Ministry strives to facilitate sustainable management of fisheries resources for equitable development of the local communities while ensuring satisfactory revenue generation for the government.

Education
The Government has charged the State Ministry of Education with responsibility of cherishing affordable quality education largely implements sector reformation policies & activities.
We also have accelerated these education activities through the launching of BACK TO LEARNING CAMPAIGN every year and the RAPID ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING SPACES leading to notable progress in education sector.

Youth Empowerment.
Through the Ministry of Youth the state government of Jonglei aims to improve the youths through provision of Technical and Vocational schools. This also includes leading in training to provide livelihood skills for the youth.

The State Government of Jonglei uses sport and recreational activities as a means and mechanism for for achieving peace and development in the State. We plan to maximize access to sport and recreational activities across the state and also preserve the cultural heritage of Jonglei State community and peaceful co-existence.
We are also planning to construct a ministry building as headquarter; Construction of Youth and Leveling of Jonglei Stadium and Cultural Center for youth.
Wrestling is one of the important sports in Jonglei. We plan to have a Wrestling Culture Day for all Jonglei communities for the Interstate Sport Competition and training of Youth on peace and conflict resolution.
