H.E Gabriel Changson Chang, the Chairman of the Federal Democratic Party (FDP), received today on 14th Sep 2023, at the party's Headquarters in Rock City. Hon. Chairman congratulated (101) new members who declared their allegiance to the Federal Democratic Party.

Among the National Secretaries who received the new members; D/Secretary General Mr. Morbe Marcelo, Hon. William Obieny, National Secretary for Administration and Members Affairs, and Hon. Wazir Michael Liah, the National Secretary for Information, Cde. Malual Dhieu Malual, the Deputy National Secretary for Administration and Members Affairs, and Cde. Thomas Thiay Jany. The Deputy National Secretary for Communications and Public Relations.

In his speech, Hon. Gabriel Changson Chang expressed his gratitude and happiness to the new members for taking the decision to join the party, noting that everyone in the Federal Democratic Party has equal rights, echoing on them to "strengthen the party’s principles" federalism as the best system of governance in South Sudan, and stressed the need to adhere to the values of Democracy and spreading peace as one of the solutions in achieving safe and stable South Sudan.

It is noteworthy to mention that most of the new members come from the various Counties of Western Bahr El Ghazal State, Lakes and Northern Bahr El Ghazal States, in addition to a significant number from Upper Nile State. You're all "welcome to FDP", a Party that embraces the unity of the people of South Sudan.
