JUST IN: President Salva Kiir arrived in Kampala on Sunday, May 10, to attend the inauguration of President-elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, marks the start of Museveni’s seventh term following the January 15, 2026, elections where he received 71.65 percent of the vote, according to official report.
While in Uganda, President Kiir will hold meetings with President Museveni to discuss ties between South Sudan and Uganda and regional matters.
