يتبنى الحزب الشيوعي السوري في سياسته وعمله التعاليم الماركسية ـ اللينينية، ويسترشد بها، وهو يعمل لتطبيقها تطبيقاً خلاقاً على ظروف بلادنا وخصائصها التاريخية والقومية.

إن الحزب الشيوعي السوري الذي تأسس في 28 من تشرين أول عام 1924، قد اجتاز طريقاً مجيدة في الكفاح. فقد شارك في معارك شعبنا ضد الاستعمار والاحتلال الاجنبي, من أجل الجلاء والاستقلال الوطني، وضد الأنظمة الديكتاتورية والأحلاف الاستعمارية والقواعد العسكرية، وناضل الحزب من أجل تصفية الإقطاع, وفي سبيل الإصلاح الزراعي، ومن أجل مطالب العمال ضد الرأسمالية، والدفاع عن مصالح سائر الجماهير الكادحة، ومن أجل الديمقراطية. وعمل بدأب في سبيل التحالف بين الطبقة العاملة وجماهير الفلاحين وسائر الكادحين بسواعدهم وأدمغتهم، ومن أجل اتحاد و تعبئة جميع القوى التقدمية في سبيل الخلاص نهائياً من الفقر والتخلف والاستغلال. The Syrian Communist Party, which was founded on October 28 1924, has gone through a glorious path in struggle. He has participated in the battles of our people against colonialism and foreign occupation, for national independence, against the dictatorial regimes and colonial alliances and military bases, and he fought for ending feudalism, and for agrarian reform, and for the demands of the workers against capitalism, and for defending the interests of the toiling masses, and for democracy.
