It takes a great amount of courage and sacrifice to do what our soldiers do. Many of those great men and women have families of their own whom they have to leave behind as they go to defend their country. The least we can do for our military men and women is to honor and be thankful for their unselfish deeds.

To work so long and hard and then to see the result of one's labors so near must be a proud moment. I thought this was going to be a big, proud moment! It is certainly a proud moment for me.

Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism. For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue. How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes. Freedom makes a huge requirement of every human being.
