The Cultural Heritage Department of the Eswatini National Trust Commission (ENTC) was delighted to attend an Exhibition Event hosted by Semester 4 students of the International Tourism program at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT).
As part of their class project, these exceptional future tourism professionals were challenged to select a country, conduct in-depth research, and deliver a compelling live presentation at the LUCT Multipurpose Hall lawn - covering each destination's clothing, cuisine, and top attractions. The result was an engaging, informative, and beautifully presented event that demonstrated real industry readiness.
The event came alive with traditional dances from various countries, a vibrant food tasting experience and rich cultural exchanges that reminded us why tourism is such a powerful bridge between peoples and nations.
We were especially proud to contribute by delivering a lecture on the Swati Traditional Wedding (Umtsimba), sharing the beauty, significance and heritage of this cherished ceremony with students and fellow industry partners in attendance.
A heartfelt congratulations to the Semester 4 International Tourism students and the faculty at LUCT for organising such a well-executed, culturally rich event. We look forward to continued collaboration!

A thriving project is one that is owned and driven by the community itself.
This morning, a team from the Eswatini National Trust Commission joined the Lunkuntu Community in the development of a hiking trail aimed at promoting community-based heritage tourism.
This initiative seeks to unlock the cultural and natural heritage potential of the area while creating opportunities for sustainable tourism and local economic development.
During the engagement, ENTC provided guidance on environmentally friendly and safe ways of developing hiking trails without harming the environment, biodiversity, or the natural heritage of the area.
It is encouraging to see communities taking the lead in preserving and showcasing their heritage for future generations.
