This evening, the Minister Honourable Phila Buthelezi visited Golden Frog in Matsapha, accompanied by Members of the Portfolio Committee from the House of Assembly, the Ministry’s Principal Secretary, Mr. Makhosini Mndawe, the Labour Commissioner, Mr. Kingdom Mamba, and other Ministry officials.

The visit followed concerns raised by employees regarding working conditions and general labour practices within the company. The Honourable Minister engaged with management to verify the allegations and assess compliance with labour regulations.

During the visit, several issues affecting workers were identified, including matters related to remuneration, workplace conduct, training opportunities, and overall employment conditions. While management refuted some of the concerns, others were acknowledged, with a commitment made to address and rectify them.

The Ministry is committed to promoting fair labour practices and will continue engaging all present in the meeting to ensure adherence to labour standards
