NGWENYA TOWN BOARD proudly congratulates the newly inaugurated leadership team as they step into service for the people of Ngwenya town.

The Board, last week, has successfully conducted some food inspections within all food establishments in the jurisdiction. This exercise is done to protect the consumers from buying food items that are no longer fit for human consumption. Condemned items included those which were expired, dented cans, damaged packaging, none labelled, spoiled, and contaminated food items. Businesses are appreciated for their cooperation while this exercise was conducted, and are further encouraged always monitor their items. The public also is advised to be always on vigilant when doing shopping especially in this era of food.

Consumers are reminded to look at the expiry dates of food items avoid dented and bulging canned foods and to report such to the Public Health and Environment Department at 79104407.
