Aquaponics Ministry

Jerald and Katie are here! We thank God for bringing this couple to Togo to run the Aquaponics Ministry!

Fish harvesting day resulted in some awesome sized fish!! Several were nearly 1 kilo!! Even Dzanta got in on the fun!

Vegetables are being planted on the water, and new life is forming. Check out the strawberry just starting to grow! The spider was tucked inside it's leaves. The fish are growing nicely too! Been having some issues with ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites in the water, but we keep testing and adjusting where needed. Little by little it's coming along! We thank God for the Aquaponics system and all that is growing! (Even the spiders play their role!)

The veggies and fish continue to grow well! Got our first cucumber from the new plants today too! Nothing like seeing God's creation grow and bear fruit; that goes for humans as well. How are you growing and bearing fruit where God has planted you? Proverbs 12:12b- the root of the righteous bears fruit.

Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers oh my! Veggies are growing fast here in aquaponics! Enjoying the fresh American leaf lettuce! Cucumbers will be ready in about two weeks....tomatoes sometime after that.

New plants are coming up quickly! Tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, squash and strawberries, oh my!! The new life we are seeing in Aquaponics reminds us of our new life we have in Christ everyday! 2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

We have some awesome kids that live here on campus. They LOVE to find odd jobs to earn a little money. Here they are helping in Aquaponics by shredding the coconut husks and then filing the little cups with the husk that will hold seeds to be placed on the water.

Today is fish harvest day! We have over 70 kilo's of fish that have been ordered! We also have Mr. Woaku who is working with us in Aquaponics once again. He's very knowledgeable and a huge help! Check out this monster fish we got today; he was over 1 kilo!

Our roof over the fish tanks got replaced today! We had an awesome crew helping out!

We harvested 70 kilograms of fish today! Had some really nice sized ones! 700, 800+ and even one 900 gram fish!
