Our students didn’t just make pizza together — they learned through their own curiosity! When kids are excited about what they’re doing, learning happens naturally:
📝 Spelling — sounding out and spelling ingredients on their own
🔢 Counting — measuring cups with purpose and excitement
🌡️ Numbers & Temperature — reading the heat needed for pizza dough
✍️ Writing — eagerly writing the order down on the box

Today, a heavy water bottle became something more than just a heavy object.

The children gathered around it, discussed together, experimented, struggled, laughed, and slowly figured out a way to move it together by rolling it into the school.

No one instructed them to do it.
No one gave them the answer.

Yet in that small moment, we saw collaboration.
We saw problem-solving.

Meaningful play is not always about getting the “right answer” quickly. 🌱

Today, the children became little researchers while exploring how to create the color beige through watercolor mixing.

At first, it began with one child experimenting and wondering how beige could be made from different colors. Then, little by little, friends joined in. Soon, the exploration grew into conversations, teamwork, and shared discoveries.

The children tested colors, compared tones, changed ideas, and solved problems together. Along the way, they naturally learned new vocabulary such as:
“lighter,” “darker,” “more brown,” “too bright,” “soft color,” and “mix together.”

Some children searched for answers, some observed carefully, and some shared their own theories about which colors would create the tone they wanted.

What may look like simple painting is actually children practicing:
• communication
• critical thinking
• collaboration
• observation
• creativity
• language development
• confidence in expressing ideas

This is what meaningful play looks like at Sunny Seeds learning through curiosity, conversation, and discovery together. 🤍
