Partnering to defeat scammers, together. During his visit to Bangkok, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Seth Bailey met with Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General of the Department of International Organizations Pinsuda Jayanama on October 1, bringing together Thai and U.S. interagency partners in the fight against regional cyber scam syndicates.

The meeting advanced joint U.S.-Thai efforts to dismantle transnational scam networks operating across Southeast Asia that prey on American and Thai citizens. Our strong bilateral security partnership is key to disrupting these organizations at their source—keeping Thai and American citizens safe and our shared digital future more secure.

Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Seth Bailey met with Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General Hattaya Khusakul to discuss how our longstanding alliance helps make Thailand and America safer, stronger, and more prosperous.

We're proud to share that Congress has approved an additional $19 million in Foreign Military Financing for Thailand. This investment reflects the strength of our defense partnership and our continued commitment to shared security in the region.

PDAS Bailey and DG Hattaya also discussed expanding cooperation on trade, Super Intelligence, and countering scam operations. These priorities bring greater security and prosperity to both our nations.
