As we enter the last week of this academic year a quick reminder that, if you are not returning to school in August, we would like you to PLEASE RETURN your library books to school by Wednesday 24th June. Many thanks for your kind help and support with this and best wishes for your onward adventures :)

UPDATE: PS Library
We hope everyone is keeping safe and well. Just to let you know that the PS Library will not be physically re-opening before August.

If you are coming in to school and would like to return books which your children currently have out then please put them in a sealed, labelled plastic bag and place them in either the returns basket on the table inside the main gate by the security guard or in the tub outside the library. Please don't make a special trip or worry about returning books UNLESS you will not be returning in August then we will appreciate the books back before 24th June please.

Due to the amount of books currently on loan and the quarantine process we will, of course, let you know if we decide that we are able to facilitate any new lending before the holidays. With our best wishes.

UPDATE: Kinokuniya Online Book Sale this week

Sorry everyone but Kinokuniya have emailed to say that sadly they won't be able to deliver the books at the moment because, of course, they can't get in to their stores right now. The discount code is still working at this time on the website and you can still place your orders BUT you will have to wait a bit longer to receive or collect the books at a later date. UPDATE: Bangkok Book Awards Voting Extended

As none of us will be able to read and vote as normal during the school closures we have now extended this year’s voting for the Bangkok Book Awards indefinitely with a new closing date to be confirmed once we know when schools will open again. UPDATE: Scholastic Book Club extended to Monday 23rd March (PS)

Many of you have asked what will happen to the Scholastic order with school being closed. We have extended the date for ordering until Monday 23rd March to give more time for ordering over the coming weekend. If the order arrives before the Songkran holiday we will do our best to process the orders and arrange for you to collect your books HOWEVER Scholastic is experiencing its own difficulties in the UK understandably and so dispatch of all orders is likely to be delayed. In this case we will distribute the books after Songkran.

We encourage everyone to keep reading the wonderful selection of books which we have for all age ranges and abilities. Look out for the two new arrivals: Front Desk and Bad Nana - Older not Wiser which are proving very popular with students.

Quite a few schools have already started their voting (over 230 children have voted so far). The link will be staying live until Friday 27th March.

PS Library Closure Days

Please note the PS Library will be closed during THIS coming week as follows:

Wednesday 4th December - PS Library WILL CLOSE at 2.15pm for set up/ preparation

Friday 6th December - PS Library WILL BE CLOSED ALL DAY due to annual merit making ceremony

**We will place a basket outside the door for returned books but no access will be granted to the library after school on either day or for borrowing during Friday. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your kind cooperation.

Design a T-Shirt for Tanzania

We know how much our children in the PS Library love a 'design challenge' so when our colleagues at the HS asked us to help them raise funds for the upcoming Year 12 Service trip to Tanzania we couldn't resist.

Your mission should you choose to accept it is to design a t-shirt following the instructions on the poster below, submit your entry or entries on A4 white paper together with a 20 baht (per entry) donation and collect your house point/s. Simples!

We can't wait to see all the entries which should be handed in to the PS Library by Friday 6th December please. Thank you for taking part :)

High School Library: A whole new world The Simon Lawrence Library kicked off World Book Week 2019 with plenty of competitions to keep our students reading.
