One Bangkok invites everyone to discover the 20 finalist chair designs selected for THE PATHOM CHAIR COMPETITION. The shortlisted entries were evaluated by a panel of experts from diverse disciplines, including furniture design, interior architecture, art, and culture, to identify designs that best express contemporary Thai identity while demonstrating strong potential for real-world production.The distinguished judging panel includes:

• Charintip Choomuenwai, Senior Vice President, Head of Art & Culture & Head of District Branding & Marketing Communications of One Bangkok

The finalists will take part in a workshop with Design Mentors and visit a furniture manufacturing facility to gain firsthand insight into the process of transforming ideas into market-ready products. Following this development phase, five final designs will be selected to advance to the final round and compete for the grand prize.
THE PATHOM CHAIR COMPETITION is a collaboration between PATHOM HOUSE Hotel and Amarin Academy, established to discover emerging designers who are eager to experiment, challenge conventions, and redefine the boundaries of Thai furniture design. The competition encourages fresh interpretations of contemporary Thai identity through innovative design perspectives. The winning design will be produced to international standards, created for real-world use, and become part of the guest experience at PATHOM HOUSE, where visitors from around the world can experience it firsthand.
Selected participants will also have the opportunity to receive guidance from THINKK Studio as Design Mentor, helping them refine and strengthen their concepts in preparation for the journey from design development to actual production.

This Wednesday, One Bangkok invites everyone to explore a new perspective on the future of urban mobility and city living at “WHEN WE CYCLE: Imagining Bangkok’s Cycling Future.” The event will feature a screening of the acclaimed Dutch documentary WHEN WE CYCLE, which explores the potential of cycling as a mode of transportation while encouraging viewers to reflect on the role of public spaces and urban quality of life. Through the film, participants will be invited to consider how we want to travel, share public spaces, and shape the future of Bangkok.
The event will take place on 7 October 2026, from 18.00 – 20.30 hrs., at One Bangkok Park, as part of Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026 (BKKCAW 2026). The festival aims to foster learning, dialogue, and collaboration among all sectors of society to help drive the development of a more sustainable urban future.
Following the screening, attendees are invited to join a panel discussion titled “Bangkok: Rethinking Streets, Public Space and City Life”, which will bring together perspectives from representatives across the public and private sectors, urban development professionals, community groups, and the media. ภาพบรรยากาศความสนุกจากนิทรรศการศิลปะ “Fortune Teller” ผลงานของ ฌูว์ลี สเตเฟน เช็ง (Julie Stephen Chheng) ศิลปินและนักวาดภาพประกอบชั้นนำจากประเทศฝรั่งเศส ที่ชวนทุกคนออกเดินทางสู่การสำรวจโลกแห่งจิตวิญญาณของธรรมชาติ พร้อมสร้างความเข้าใจและเชื่อมโยงความสัมพันธ์กับสิ่งแวดล้อมรอบตัว ผ่านการผสานงานศิลปะการฉายภาพแบบอินเทอร์แอ็กทีฟเข้ากับเทคโนโลยี Augmented Reality (AR) ได้อย่างสร้างสรรค์ สนุกสนาน และเข้าถึงได้ง่ายสำหรับทุกคน
นิทรรศการนี้จัดขึ้นจากความร่วมมือระหว่าง วัน แบงค็อก และ สมาคมฝรั่งเศสกรุงเทพ (Alliance Française de Bangkok) โดยเปิดให้เข้าชมระหว่างวันที่ 2 ตุลาคม ถึง 15 พฤศจิกายน 2569 ณ พื้นที่จัดแสดงหลักของนิทรรศการ บริเวณชั้น 2 โซน เดอะ สตอรี่ส์ วัน แบงค็อก รวมถึงพื้นที่อื่น ๆ ทั่วทั้งโครงการ เพื่อมอบประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้และการมีส่วนร่วมกับงานศิลปะในหลากหลายมิติแก่ผู้เข้าชมทุกคน

Highlights from the “Fortune Teller” art exhibition, created by Julie Stephen Chheng, a renowned French artist and illustrator. The exhibition invites visitors on a journey into the spiritual world of nature, encouraging a deeper understanding of and connection with the environment around them. Through a creative fusion of interactive projection art and Augmented Reality (AR) technology, the experience is immersive, engaging, and accessible to audiences of all ages.
This exhibition is presented through a collaboration between One Bangkok and Alliance Française Bangkok. Running from 2 October to 15 November 2026, it features a main exhibition space on Level 2, The Storeys at One Bangkok, alongside installations located throughout the development. Visitors are invited to explore, learn, and engage with art through a variety of interactive and multidimensional experiences.
