10 September 2026 Mr. Nicky Balani, Deputy Managing Director of Arbitration and Mediation, THAC, delivered a lecture as part of the “Advanced Diplomatic Capacity Building for Officials for Lao PDR (ADCB)” course on the topic “Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes” at the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs,
The lecture provided knowledge on the concepts and processes of peaceful settlement of international disputes, covering dispute settlement through diplomatic channels and legal processes, as well as approaches to negotiation, fact-finding, mediation and arbitration, and judicial settlement. It also addressed the roles of regional organizations and mechanisms, as well as the United Nations, in promoting the peaceful settlement of international disputes.

THAC Meets with Viserve Enterprise Public Company Limited
On 16 September 2026, Mr. Rajsarut Janchote, Deputy Managing Director of the Strategic and Business Development, together with Ms. Chananchida Srisorn, Assistant Director, Arbitration and Mediation; and Ms. Suwaree Numdokmai, Senior Officer, Arbitration and Mediation, met with representatives of Viserve Enterprise Public Company Limited. led by Mr. Siriroj Rojanwaraporn, Chairman of the Audit Committee; Ms. Chayanee Sangthongwiset, Chief Operating Officer; and Mrs. Ubolvan Hatthakitkosol, Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

Welcomed the THAC delegation and exchanged views on approaches to contract drafting and various business-related operations, including the appropriate use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms as part of dispute management. Both sides exchanged knowledge and experiences to promote a better understanding of the roles of arbitration and mediation, as well as explored approaches to support greater clarity and efficiency in business operations and further develop the cooperation network between the Thailand Arbitration Center and the business sector in the future.

THAC Holds Thailand ADR Conference 2026: “OECD Readiness through Predictable Justice – The Strategic Role of ADR”

On 2 September 2026, the Thailand Arbitration Center, Ministry of Justice, held the Thailand ADR Conference 2026: “OECD Readiness through Predictable Justice The Strategic Role of ADR,” with Mr. Piyasiri Wattanavarangkul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of Thailand, presiding over the opening ceremony, and Mr. Suriyapong Tubtimtae, Managing Director of THAC, delivering the report on the objectives of the event at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel.

The event was honored by Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, Former UNCTAD Secretary-General and WTO Director-General, who delivered a special keynote address. The event was also attended by Justice Dato Mary Lim Thiam Suan, President of the AIAC Court, AIAC; Gloria Lim, CEO, SIAC; Joanne Lau, Secretary General, HKIAC and Nicky Balani, Deputy Managing Director of Arbitration and Mediation, THAC; representatives from leading dispute resolution centers in Thailand and abroad, who shared their experiences and approaches to the development of alternative dispute resolution.

In addition, speakers and experts from government agencies and leading academic institutions shared knowledge and perspectives on Thailand’s preparation for OECD accession.

The event was organized as a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences in alternative dispute resolution at the international level, while promoting the development of a justice system that is prompt, efficient, predictable, and aligned with the approach to preparing for OECD standards. It aimed to enhance the role of ADR in supporting the justice system and strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness on the international stage.
