On the auspicious occasion of “Visakha Bucha Day” on 31 May 2026, Ambassador Mr. Puneet Agrawal visited ‘Wat That Thong - The Royal Monastery’ in Bangkok and paid respects to the sacred Bodhi tree, which was grown from a sapling brought directly from Bodh Gaya, India. Ambassador also paid homage to the Holy Relics of the Buddha enshrined within ‘Princess Galyani Vadhana Mahachedi’ and made merit by offering Sanghadana.

ในโอกาสอันเป็นมงคลแห่งวันวิสาขบูชา ในวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายปุนีต อัครวาล เอกอัครราชทูต ได้เดินทางไปยัง 'วัดธาตุทอง พระอารามหลวง' ในกรุงเทพฯ และถวายสักการะต้นพระศรีมหาโพธิ์ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ซึ่งปลูกจากหน่อพันธุ์ที่นำมาจากพุทธคยา ประเทศอินเดียโดยตรง เอกอัครราชทูตยังได้ถวายสักการะพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ ซึ่งประดิษฐานอยู่ภายในพระมหาเจดีย์ ๘๔ พรรษา ราชนครินทร์ และได้ทำบุญถวายสังฆทานอีกด้วย

On behalf of the Embassy of India, Bangkok, DCM Ms Paulomi Tripathi receives Sao Semma Dhammachak Award 2025 from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at a ceremony held at Wat Pathum Wanaram, Bangkok on 2 June 2026.

This award is conferred by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand in recognition of outstanding contributions in promotion of Buddhism in the country.

The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Bangkok, in collaboration with the India Studies Center, Ubon Ratchathani University, organized a yoga workshop in Ubon Ratchathani Province on 1 June 2026. Mr. Phusit Noisopakul, Vice Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, also graced the occasion with his presence. The yoga session actively engaged around 300 participants of all age groups, reflecting the relevance of yoga for all ages.

Strengthening 🇮🇳-🇹🇭Defence ties

NDC India delegation visited the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) Headquarters in Bangkok for a courtesy call on Air Marshal Wichain Vijiradharma, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Intelligence).
The delegation was warmly received and later toured the RTAF Museum as part of their Foreign Countries Study Tour.

บทใหม่แห่งความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างอินเดียและโอมาน

ความตกลงหุ้นส่วนทางเศรษฐกิจรอบด้านระหว่างอินเดียและโอมานมีผลบังคับใช้ตั้งแต่วันนี้ เปิดโอกาสใหม่ ๆ ด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการจ้างงาน รวมถึงโอกาสสำหรับเยาวชน

ภายใต้ความตกลงดังกล่าว สินค้าจากอินเดียจะได้รับสิทธิ์ปลอดภาษีสำหรับ 98.08% ของพิกัดอัตราภาษีของโอมาน ซึ่งครอบคลุมมูลค่าการค้าถึง 99.38% ส่งผลให้การส่งออกเติบโต สนับสนุน MSMEs และเสริมความแข็งแกร่งให้กับภาคอุตสาหกรรมที่ใช้แรงงานเข้มข้น พร้อมทั้งเปิดโอกาสใหม่ให้แก่ผู้เชี่ยวชาญชาวอินเดียในหลากหลายสาขา นอกจากนี้ ยังมีมาตรการคุ้มครองภาคส่วนสำคัญ เช่น ผลิตภัณฑ์นมและภาคการเกษตร

นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญสู่การยกระดับความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางเศรษฐกิจ ความเจริญรุ่งเรืองร่วมกัน และการเติบโตที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อทั้งสองประเทศอย่างยั่งยืน
