🇹🇭🇺🇸 เมื่อวันที่ 24 เมษายน 2569 นางสาวใจไทย อุปการนิติเกษตร รองอธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ ได้พบหารือกับนาย Kevin Toohers ผู้จัดการภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และแปซิฟิก องค์การการค้าและการพัฒนาของสหรัฐฯ (U.S. Trade and Development Agency: USTDA) ที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศเกี่ยวกับแนวทางสนับสนุนการดำเนินความร่วมมือเพื่อการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนาในมิติต่าง ๆ ของไทย

รองอธิบดีฯ ขอบคุณ USTDA สำหรับความเป็นหุ้นส่วนสนับสนุนการพัฒนาในประเทศไทยอย่างต่อเนื่องมายาวนาน โดยปัจจุบันในภาพรวม ฝ่าย USTDA เน้นให้ความสำคัญกับความร่วมมือใน 4 สาขาหลัก ได้แก่ พลังงาน การคมนาคมขนส่ง โครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัล และแร่ธาตุสำคัญ ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงแนวทางส่งเสริมให้กระบวนการความร่วมมือสามารถดำเนินไปอย่างรวดเร็วและมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นด้วย

USTDA เป็นหน่วยงานของรัฐบาลสหรัฐฯ มีภารกิจส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจและการค้าโดย USTDA มีความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดกับไทยตั้งแต่ปี 2524 และได้เปิดสำนักงานประจำภูมิภาคในไทยเมื่อปี 2562 ครอบคลุมประเทศในอาเซียน

🇹🇭🇺🇸 On 24 April 2026, Ms. Jaithai Upakarnitikaset, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, met with Mr. Kevin Toohers, Regional Manager for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss supporting cooperation aimed at promoting economic growth and development in various areas.

The Deputy Director-General thanked the USTDA for the longstanding partnership in supporting development in Thailand. The USTDA is currently prioritizing cooperation in four key sectors, namely energy, transportation, digital infrastructure, and critical minerals. Both sides also discussed ways to further enhance efficiency and accelerate cooperation processes.

The USTDA is an agency of the U.S. Government with a mandate to promote economic and trade cooperation. USTDA has maintained close cooperation with Thailand since 1981 and established its regional office in Thailand in 2019 to oversee engagement with ASEAN countries.

เมื่อวันที่ 27 มีนาคม 2569 กรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้จัดงานสัมมนาไทย - ลาตินอเมริกาและแคริบเบียน ภายใต้หัวข้อ “Decoding Latin America: กลยุทธ์และความท้าทายของการลงทุนไทยในลาตินอเมริกาและแคริบเบียน” โดยมีนางหัทยา คูสกุล อธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ พร้อมด้วย ดร. พิชยพันธุ์ ชาญภูมิดล และนายชวภาส องค์มหัทมงคล ที่ปรึกษาของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นกับผู้แทนจากภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ ภาครัฐ (กระทรวงพาณิชย์ และคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน) ภาคเอกชน (สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย และสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย) ตลอดจนผู้ประกอบการจากหลากหลายอุตสาหกรรมที่สนใจตลาดลาตินอเมริกาและแคริบเบียน ซึ่งรวมถึงสินค้าอุปโภคบริโภค อุตสาหกรรมอาหาร พลังงาน และอุตสาหกรรมบันเทิง

อธิบดีฯ ย้ำถึงความสำคัญที่ไทยต้องแสวงหาและยกระดับความสัมพันธ์กับคู่ค้าใหม่และคู่ค้าเดิมในภูมิภาคฯ ท่ามกลางบริบทการแข่งขันทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ที่ทวีความเข้มข้นมากขึ้น โดยข้อคิดเห็นจากการสัมมนาจะถูกนำไปใช้ประกอบการพิจารณากำหนดกลุ่มประเทศและอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายสำหรับโครงการ Latin Link ของกรมอเมริกาฯ ซึ่งจะนำคณะนักธุรกิจไปสำรวจตลาดในช่วงครึ่งหลังของปี 2569 อันจะช่วยเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายทางธุรกิจ กระจายความเสี่ยงทางการค้า และยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของไทยในระยะยาว ทั้งนี้ งานสัมมนาจัดขึ้นเพื่อรับฟังข้อมูลและข้อคิดเห็นจากทุกภาคส่วน เพื่อนำไปสู่การกำหนดแนวทางบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน รวมถึงพัฒนาเครื่องมือสนับสนุนที่เหมาะสมสำหรับการขยายธุรกิจไทยไปสู่ตลาดลาตินอเมริกาและแคริบเบียน

On 27 March 2026, the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs organized the Thailand - Latin America and Caribbean Seminar on “Decoding Latin America: Strategies and Challenges for Thai Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean.“ Mrs. Hataya Khusakul, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, together with Dr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol and Mr. Chavapas Ongmahutmongkol, Advisors to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, exchanged views with representatives from various sectors: the public sector (Ministry of Commerce and Board of Investment), the private sector, (Federation of Thai Industries and the Board of Trade of Thailand), as well as business operators from various industries interested in the Latin American and Caribbean markets, including consumer goods, food, energy, and the entertainment industry.

The Director-General emphasized the importance of Thailand seeking new trade partners, while strengthening existing partnerships in the region amid intensifying geopolitical competition. Insights from the seminar will be used to help identify target countries and priority industries under the Department’s “Latin Link” project, through a Thai business delegation that will be led to explore market opportunities in Latin America in the second half of 2026. The initiative is expected to strengthen business networks, diversify trade risks, and enhance Thailand’s long-term competitiveness. The seminar aimed to gather insights and perspectives from all sectors to help formulate an integrated approach to cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as to develop appropriate support mechanisms for expanding Thai businesses into the Latin American and Caribbean markets.

🇹🇭🇦🇷 เมื่อวันที่ 10 มีนาคม 2569 นางหัทยา คูสกุล อธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ พบหารือกับนายเกลาดิโอ ริการ์โด กูติเอร์เรซ เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอาร์เจนตินาประจำประเทศไทย ซึ่งเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่ง

ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย - อาร์เจนตินา ซึ่งดำเนินมายาวนานกว่า 71 ปี โดยมุ่งสานต่อและขยายความร่วมมือในสาขาที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายมีศักยภาพร่วมกัน โดยเฉพาะด้านการค้าและการลงทุน ทั้งนี้ ไทยอยู่ระหว่างการศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการริเริ่มการเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างไทยกับตลาดร่วมอเมริกาใต้ตอนล่าง (MERCOSUR) ซึ่งมีอาร์เจนตินาเป็นสมาชิก ทั้งยังหารือการต่อยอดผลลัพธ์จากการลงนามความตกลงระหว่างสถาบันทางการทูตกับแผนความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาฉบับใหม่ ตลอดจนแนวทางส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างประชาชน และอำนวยความสะดวกด้านการเปิดตลาดสินค้าและการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างไทยกับอาร์เจนตินาให้ราบรื่นยิ่งขึ้น

🇹🇭🇦🇷 On 10 March 2026, Mrs. Hataya Khusakul, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call upon assuming his duty.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand - Argentina relations, which have spanned over 71 years, with a view to continuing and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual potential, particularly in trade and investment. Thailand is currently studying the feasibility of initiating negotiations for a free trade agreement between Thailand and the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), of which Argentina is a member. Both sides also discussed building on the outcomes of the signing of an agreement between the two countries’ diplomatic institutions and the new development cooperation plan, as well as ways to promote people-to-people connectivity and facilitate greater market access for goods and tourism between Thailand and Argentina.

🇹🇭🇨🇦 งานเปิดตัวตราสัญลักษณ์เนื่องในโอกาสเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ ๖๕ ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย – แคนาดา 🇹🇭🇨🇦

เมื่อวันที่ ๑๘ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๙ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตแคนาดาประจำประเทศไทย ได้จัดงานเปิดตัวตราสัญลักษณ์เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ ๖๕ ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยกับแคนาดา ณ วิเทศสโมสร กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ โดยมีนายศรัณย์ เจริญสุวรรณ เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และนางสาวปิง คิตนีกอน เอกอัครราชทูตแคนาดาประจำประเทศไทยเป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงานในพิธี โดยมีแขกผู้มีเกียรติจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ภาคการศึกษา และภาคประชาสังคม ตลอดจนอดีตเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ซึ่งมีบทบาทในการร่วมขับเคลื่อนความสัมพันธ์ไทย-แคนาดาเข้าร่วมงานกว่า ๑๐๐ คน

ในโอกาสนี้ เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้กล่าวแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์โศกนาฏกรรมที่เมือง Tumbler Ridge รัฐบริติชโคลัมเบียเมื่อวันที่ ๑๐ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๙ และได้กล่าวถึงความสัมพันธ์อันราบรื่นและสร้างสรรค์ระหว่างไทยกับแคนาดานับตั้งแต่การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตเมื่อวันที่ ๘ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๐๔ โดยตลอดระยะเวลาเกือบ ๖๕ ปีที่ผ่านมา ความร่วมมือของทั้งสองประเทศได้ขยายตัวอย่างต่อเนื่องและครอบคลุมหลากหลายสาขา ทั้งด้านการเมืองและความมั่นคง การค้าและการลงทุน ตลอดจนความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม นอกจากนี้ ยังได้กล่าวถึงความสำคัญของความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชน ซึ่งเป็นรากฐานสำคัญที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและความใกล้ชิดระหว่างสองประเทศให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น ในคำกล่าวเปิดงานของเอกอัครราชทูตแคนาดาประจำประเทศไทยได้เน้นย้ำว่า ไทยและแคนาดาเป็นหุ้นส่วนที่ตั้งอยู่บนพื้นฐานของมิตรภาพ ความเคารพซึ่งกันและกัน และความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันต่อเสถียรภาพในภูมิภาค ตลอดจนมีความร่วมมือในด้านต่าง ๆ ซึ่งเป็นผลประโยชน์กับทั้งสองประเทศ

ภายในงานได้มีการเปิดตัวตราสัญลักษณ์ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกให้ใช้ในโอกาสเฉลิมฉลองความสัมพันธ์ไทย-แคนาดาครบรอบ ๖๕ ปี โดยผู้ที่ออกแบบคือ นายกรกต ชัยยนต์ ผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่ผสมผสานภาพช้างและใบเมเปิลอันเป็นสัญลักษณ์ประจำชาติของประเทศไทยและแคนาดา สะท้อนถึงคุณค่าร่วมกันและความเป็นหุ้นส่วนที่ยั่งยืนในความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีตลอดระยะเวลากว่าหกทศวรรษของทั้งสองประเทศ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศและสถานเอกอัครราชทูตแคนาดาประจำประเทศไทยจะใช้ตราสัญลักษณ์ดังกล่าวประกอบกิจกรรมส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย-แคนาดาเพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวาระดังกล่าวตลอดทั้งปี ๒๕๖๙

นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการแสดงโขนซึ่งเป็นนาฏศิลป์ชั้นสูงของไทย โดยนายเบญจมนิทร์ ตาดี (Benjamin Tardif) นักแสดงโขนชาวแคนาดาที่ชื่นชอบศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย และคณะ เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองความสัมพันธ์ดังกล่าวด้วย

🇹🇭🇨🇦 The Launch of the Official Logo Commemorating the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thailand–Canada Diplomatic Relations 🇹🇭🇨🇦

On 18 February 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in partnership with the Embassy of Canada in Bangkok, organized the launch of the official logo commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Canada at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was presided by H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Ms. Ping Kitnikone, Ambassador of Canada to Thailand. More than 100 distinguished guests from government agencies, the private sector, academia, civil society, as well as former Thai Ambassadors to Ottawa who have contributed to advancing Thailand–Canada relations, attended the event.

In his opening remarks, the Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his condolences regarding the tragic incident in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on 10 February 2026. He went on to highlight the cordial and constructive relations between Thailand and Canada since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 8 November 1961. Over nearly 65 years, cooperation between the two countries has expanded across a wide range of areas, including political and security cooperation, trade and investment, as well as education, science, technology, and innovation. He also underscored the importance of people to people relations, which form a vital foundation for strengthening mutual understanding and fostering closer ties between the two nations. Ambassador of Canada to Thailand emphasized that the partnership between Canada and Thailand has been built on the foundation of friendship, mutual respect, and a commitment to regional stability and continued cooperation in various areas that are mutually beneficial.

The event featured the unveiling of the official logo selected for the 65th anniversary celebrations. Designed by Mr. Korakot Chaiyon, the logo creatively integrates the elephant and the maple leaf—national symbols of Thailand and Canada—symbolizing shared values and the enduring partnership that have characterized more than six decades of bilateral relations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Canada will use this commemorative logo in activities celebrating this milestone throughout 2026.
In celebration of this special occasion, the programme also included a Khon performance, a classical Thai masked dance drama, by Mr. Benjamin Tardif, a Canadian Khon performer who appreciates Thai arts and culture.
