Thailand demonstrates world-class event readiness ahead of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group
📸 On 9 October 2026, Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and Dr. Winich Wisetsuwannaphum, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office, together with executives from the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Thailand, led members of the media on a visit to the venue for the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).
✨ Preparations at the venue have now been completed in all key areas, with Thailand ready to welcome more than 15,000 policymakers, economists, government and private-sector representatives, and members of the media from 191 countries to exchange perspectives and help shape the future of the global economy.

🤝 IMF ทำกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคม ก่อนการประชุม 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group
คุณเอกนิติ นิติทัณฑ์ประภาศ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง พร้อมด้วยคุณวิทัย รัตนากร ผู้ว่าการธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย คุณนิกร โสมกลาง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ และคุณกอบศักดิ์ ภูตระกูล ประธานกรรมการสถาบันพัฒนาองค์กรชุมชน ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ คุณคริสตาลินา กอร์เกียวา กรรมการจัดการกองทุนการเงินระหว่างประเทศ (IMF) และเจ้าหน้าที่ IMF กว่า 150 คน ณ ชุมชนบ่อฝรั่งริมน้ำ
พร้อมกันนี้ คณะ IMF ได้ร่วมทำสมุดจากกระดาษใช้แล้วกับกลุ่ม Paper Ranger เพื่อส่งต่อให้เด็กและเยาวชน และจัดถุงยังชีพกับมูลนิธิ SOS เพื่อมอบให้กับกลุ่มเปราะบางในชุมชน พร้อมเปิด “ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ชุมชนบ่อฝรั่งริมน้ำ” ที่ปรับปรุงจากอาคารเดิมอายุกว่า 30 ปี และมอบอุปกรณ์ดิจิทัล เพื่อสนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ของเด็กเยาวชนและคนในชุมชน

🤝 IMF joins Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ahead of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group
Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; Mr. Nikorn Soemklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security; and Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool, CODI Board Chairperson welcomed Kristalina Georgieva, IMF Managing Director and more than 150 IMF staff members to a CSR activity and the opening of the Community Learning Center at the Bo Farang Rim Nam community.
The IMF staffs participated in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, including
making notebooks from recycled paper with Paper Ranger for children and preparing relief packages with the SOS Foundation for members of the community.
The event also marked the opening of the Bo Farang Rim Nam Community Learning Center, a renovated building that had been in use for over 30 years. The center now provides a space for learning and skill development for children and young people, with digital equipment donated by the IMF for community use.
