ADVISORY: DEMAND SURVEY FOR THE PROPOSED 2026 SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR TEACHERS (SPLE)

The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok informs the Filipino community that the Migrant Workers Office - Bangkok, Thailand (MWO) in Bangkok is currently conducting a Demand Survey for the proposed 2026 Special Professional Licensure Examination for Teachers (SPLE).
This activity is undertaken in compliance with the requirements of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to determine the level of demand for the conduct of the SPLE among Filipino nationals presently residing in Thailand and in neighboring countries, including Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
The results of the survey shall form part of the official representation of the Philippine Embassy and the MWO to the PRC regarding the possible conduct of the SPLE in Thailand, tentatively in the third quarter of 2026, subject to the sole discretion and approval of the Commission.
Who may participate: Filipino nationals who are qualified or are in the process of complying with the eligibility requirements for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) pursuant to Republic Act No. 7836, as amended by Republic Act No. 9293.

The Embassy underscores that the conduct of the SPLE remains solely within the authority of the PRC, and that this survey is intended to establish demand and support the necessary coordination for its possible implementation.

The survey aims to determine the demand for an in-person oathtaking among Filipino SPLE passers currently based in Thailand, as well as those in neighboring countries such as Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
