ADVISORY

1. The security situation in the GCC countries continues to remain fluid and uncertain, warranting continued vigilance and close attention to advisories.

2. Bhutanese residing in the GCC region are advised to exercise utmost caution, remain vigilant and follow advisories and instructions issued by the local authorities.

3. In addition, the following measures are advised:
- Remain in regular contact with the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Kuwait.
- Ensure passports and other important documents are readily accessible
- Avoid unnecessary travel/movements that may expose yourself to unnecessary risks
- Always comply with safety advisories issued by the local authorities
- Monitor developments through reliable official sources only

4. Bhutanese nationals may consider voluntary return to Bhutan. The Royal Bhutanese Embassy, Kuwait, can assist in identifying available flight and route options.

To commemorate the joyous occasion of His Majesty’s Birth Anniversary, the Venerable Abbot and monks of Wat Arun performed special prayers for His Majesty’s long life and well-being.

In a profound expression of devotion and gratitude, the Embassy officials and their family members, led by Kutshab, offered Zhabten and released 47000 fingerlings as ‘Tshethar’ into the Chao Phraya river.

Under His Majesty’s wise and benevolent reign, may Bhutan continue to flourish in harmony, unity and peace.

The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Bangkok hosted a lunch on 26 December 2025 for the participants of the Trongsa Penlop Inspire Programme (TPIP) who are in Bangkok, Thailand on a Drukair sponsored excursion.

TPIP is a part of Drukair's Corporate Social Responsibility, and the educational outreach programme. It provides enriching experiences for the less privileged students and teachers from remote schools across Bhutan to inspire them through sponsored excursions to a selected Drukair destination.

The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand held the Civil Service Award 2025 ceremony as a part of the 118th National Day Celebration on 17 December 2025, for four medal recipients. His Excellency Mr. Kinzang Dorji, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the Kingdom of Thailand conferred the Civil Service Medal (Silver) for 20 years of dedicated service to Mr. Paroonrit On, Personal Secretary to the Ambassador and Mr. Wichai Sakkriengkrai, Administrative Assistant. Mr. Sherub Phuntsho, First Secretary and Mr. Somchai Kham Khotsoon, Chauffeur to the Ambassador, received the Bronze medal, in recognition of their 10 years of dedicated service.

Instituted by the Royal Civil Service Commission under the Command of His Majesty The King, the award recognises the dedicated contributions of civil servants to TSA-WA-SUM.

H.E. Baimukhan Margulan, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand, and H.E. Ambassador Kinzang Dorji, held a courtesy meeting at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Bangkok today.

During the meeting, the Ambassadors underscored the warm bilateral relations between Bhutan and Kazakhstan and discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including digital technology, tourism, and economic development.
