เมื่อวันที่ 26 พ.ค. 2569 กรมยุโรปมอบหมายให้นายภรศิษฐ์ พิบูลนครินทร์ ผู้อำนวยการกองยุโรปกลาง เป็นผู้แทนเข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดนิทรรศการ “ARCH CU EXPO 2026: Design for Future Living” ออกแบบเพื่อวิถีชีวิตแห่งอนาคต จัดโดยคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 93 ปีแห่งการสถาปนาคณะฯ

งานดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อเผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัยและวิชาชีพด้านการออกแบบเพื่อการอยู่อาศัยในอนาคตและการออกแบบสิ่งแวดล้อมสรรค์สร้างโดยเน้นขับเคลื่อนการก่อสร้างด้วยไม้ร่วมกับพลังงานสะอาด ศ.ดร.วิเลิศ ภูริวัชร อธิการบดี จุฬาฯ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด โดยมีนางอันนา ฮัมมาร์เกรน เอกอัครราชทูตสวีเดน นายโอตากะ มาซาโตะ เอกอัครราชทูตญี่ปุ่น และผู้แทนบริษัทเอกชนที่สนับสนุนโครงการเข้าร่วม อาทิ Midsummer (บริษัทผู้ผลิตโซลาร์เซลล์ของสวีเดน) Mitsubishi Jisho (บริษัทผู้เชี่ยวชาญการออกแบบของญี่ปุ่น) เป็นต้น

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นตัวอย่างของความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาคการศึกษาของไทยกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตต่างประเทศและภาคเอกชนในการสนับสนุนการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนและการเปลี่ยนผ่านสีเขียว (Green Transition) ของไทย

On 26 May 2026, Mr. Pornsith Pibulnakarintr, Director of Central Europe Division, represented the Department of European Affairs at the opening ceremony of the exhibition “ARCH CU EXPO 2026: Design for Future Living” organised by the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, on the occasion of the Faculty’s 93rd anniversary.

The exhibition showcased research and professional works on future living and built environment design, with an emphasis on timber construction and clean energy. Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, presided over the opening ceremony. Distinguished participants included H.E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren, Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Otaka Masato, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, as well as representatives from partner companies, namely Midsummer,
a Swedish solar cell manufacturer, Mitsubishi Jisho, a Japanese design company, etc.

The event served as an example of cooperation among Thai educational institutions, foreign embassies, and private sector in supporting Thailand’s sustainable development and green transition.

เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๙ นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก รองอธิบดีกรมยุโรป รักษาราชการแทนอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้พบกับนางสาวจูลีเด คายือฮัน (H.E. Ms. Julide Kayıhan) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐตุรกีประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมและผลักดันความร่วมมือระหว่างกันเพื่อเตรียมการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ไทย - ตุรกีสู่ความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ (Strategic Partnership) ภายในปี ๒๕๗๑

ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องที่จะร่วมกันส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับตุรกีในด้านต่าง ๆ อาทิ การแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนระดับสูง ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ การบูรณาการความร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชนของทั้งสองฝ่าย และการส่งเสริมการลงทุนของตุรกีในไทยรวมทั้งเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC) ตลอดจนการศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือตามแนวเส้นทาง Middle Corridor เชื่อมโยงภูมิภาคเอเชียกับยุโรป

On 15 May 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of
the Department of European Affairs met with H.E. Ms. Julide Kayıhan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Thailand to discuss ways to promote and move forward cooperation in preparation for elevating Thailand - Türkiye relations to a Strategic Partnership by 2028.

On this occasion, both sides agreed to jointly promote bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Türkiye in various fields, such as the exchange of high-level visits, security and defence industry cooperation, and economic collaboration. In particular, they emphasised enhancing engagement between the private sectors of both countries, as well as promoting Turkish investment in Thailand and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Furthermore, both sides discussed exploring potential cooperation along the Middle Corridor linking Asia and Europe.

ผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศหารือทวิภาคีกับรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงเศรษฐกิจสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย

เมื่อวันที่ 5 และ 6 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้พบหารือทวิภาคีกับนายมนัตซากัน ซาฟาเรียน (Mnatsakan Safaryan) รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย และนางสาว Anushik Avetyan รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงเศรษฐกิจสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย ในห้วงการประชุม Yerevan Dialogue ครั้งที่ 3 ณ กรุงเยเรวาน สาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย

ในการหารือกับรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แสดงความยินดีกับพัฒนาการเชิงบวกจากการประชุมปรึกษาหารือทางการเมืองไทย-อาร์เมเนีย ครั้งที่ 1 เมื่อปี 2568 โดยได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการขยายความร่วมมือในด้านเศรษฐกิจ การท่องเที่ยว การพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากร และความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชนต่อประชาชน ทั้งนี้ ฝ่ายอาร์เมเนียยังแสดงความสนใจในการพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์กับประเทศไทยให้ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้น

ในการหารือกับรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงเศรษฐกิจสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับโอกาสในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจในสาขาต่าง ๆ อาทิ การค้า การลงทุน เกษตรกรรม อัญมณีและเครื่องประดับ อุตสาหกรรมยา การท่องเที่ยว และแรงงาน พร้อมกันนี้ ฝ่ายไทยได้ขอรับการสนับสนุนจากฝ่ายอาร์เมเนียต่อการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย-สหภาพเศรษฐกิจยูเรเชีย ซึ่งฝ่ายอาร์เมเนียแสดงความพร้อมที่จะให้การสนับสนุน ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังเห็นพ้องถึงความสำคัญของการส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างภาคธุรกิจ และความร่วมมือทางเทคโนโลยี

Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Held Bilateral Meetings with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia

On 5 and 6 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, held bilateral meetings with H.E. Mr. Mnatsakan Safaryan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and H.E. Ms. Anushik Avetyan, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, on the sidelines of the 3rd Yerevan Dialogue.

During the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, both sides welcomed the positive momentum generated by the first Thailand-Armenia Political Consultations in 2025. They exchanged views on expanding cooperation in economy, tourism, capacity-building, and people-to-people ties. The Armenian side also expressed interest in further developing more diplomatic engagement with Thailand in the future.

During the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy, both sides discussed opportunities to enhance economic cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, agriculture, gemstones and jewelry, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and labour. The Thai side also sought Armenia’s support for the Thailand-EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) Free Trade Agreement, to which Armenia expressed readiness to support. Additionally, both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening business linkages and cooperation in the field of technology.

นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมการประชุม Yerevan Dialogue ครั้งที่ 3 ณ สาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย

เมื่อวันที่ 3-8 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้เป็นหัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนไทยเข้าร่วมการประชุม Yerevan Dialogue ครั้งที่ 3 ซึ่งจัดขึ้น ณ กรุงเยเรวาน สาธารณรัฐ อาร์เมเนีย

การประชุมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปี ตั้งแต่ปี ๒๕๖๗ โดยมีกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนียเป็นเจ้าภาพ และในการประชุมครั้งนี้ ฝ่ายอาร์เมเนียได้เชิญผู้แทนระดับสูงจากประเทศต่าง ๆ และผู้แทนจากภาคเอกชน ภาคประชาสังคม สถาบันวิชาการจากหลายภูมิภาคและหลายประเทศเข้าร่วมเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับประเด็นความท้าทายสำคัญทั้งในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก ซึ่งในปีนี้ แขกสำคัญผู้เข้าร่วมกล่าวในพิธีเปิดการประชุมฯ ได้แก่ นาย Emmanuel Macron ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส

ในการประชุม Yerevan Dialogue ในครั้งนี้ ผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้ร่วมเป็นผู้อภิปราย (panelist) ในหัวข้อ Regional Identity and Strategic Autonomy: The Asia-Pacific Response to Great Power Rivalries โดยหัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนไทยได้กล่าวถึงสถานการณ์ภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ของโลก และนโยบายการต่างประเทศของไทยในสถานการณ์การแข่งขันทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ระหว่างมหาอำนาจ ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับการสร้างพันธมิตรที่หลากหลายผ่านยุทธศาสตร์การเป็น bridge-builder ของไทย รวมถึงย้ำความสำคัญของการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทั้งในระดับภูมิภาคผ่านอาเซียน และระดับนานาชาติผ่านองค์การสหประชาชาติ

นอกจากนี้ ผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของไทย ได้ให้สัมภาษณ์แก่สำนักข่าว Shant TV ของสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนีย โดยย้ำว่า การเข้าร่วมการประชุม Yerevan Dialogue ครั้งนี้ นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่ประเทศไทยส่งคณะผู้แทนเข้าร่วมการประชุม และได้แจ้งเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของไทยในภูมิภาค ยุทธศาสตร์ของไทย
ในการปรับตัวเพื่อรับมือกับวิกฤตพลังงาน ตลอดจนทรรศนะของไทยต่อวาระการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งรวมถึง
การจัดการประชุม COP17 on Biodiversity ของสาธารณรัฐอาร์เมเนียในเดือนตุลาคม 2569 อีกด้วย

Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs
participated as a panelist in the 3rd Yerevan Dialogue

On 3-8 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, attended the 3rd Yerevan Dialogue held in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia.

The Yerevan Dialogue, organised annually by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia since 2024, brought together high-level delegates from various countries, as well as representatives from the private sector, civil society, and think-tank institutions across Europe and Asia. The forum served as a platform to discuss key regional and global challenges and to forge a collective way forward. The event also featured opening remarks by H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France.

At the 3rd Yerevan Dialogue, the Special Envoy participated as a panelist in the session “Regional Identity and Strategic Autonomy: The Asia-Pacific Response to Great Power Rivalries.” He addressed the current global geopolitical landscape and Thailand’s foreign policy approaches in the context of geopolitical competition between major powers, emphasizing the importance of diversifying partnerships through Thailand’s bridge-builder strategy. The Special Envoy also highlighted the significance of strengthening cooperation at the regional level through ASEAN and at the multilateral level through the United Nations.

In addition, the Special Envoy gave an interview to Armenia’s Shant TV, marking that his attendance was the first time Thailand had sent a delegation to participate in the forum. He outlined Thailand’s role in the region, Thailand’s strategies in adapting to energy crisis, as well as Thailand’s perspectives on the sustainable development agenda, including Armenia’s role in hosting the COP17 on Biodiversity this October.

การประชุมส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศระหว่างไทยกับภูมิภาคยุโรป

เมื่อวันที่ 14 พฤษภาคม 2569 กรมยุโรป กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้จัดการประชุมทางไกลแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นระหว่างสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ในภูมิภาคยุโรปกับกระทรวงกลาโหมเพื่อส่งเสริมและขยายความร่วมมือด้านอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในภูมิภาคยุโรป
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว นางศิริลักษณ์ นิยม รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้เป็นประธานการประชุมโดยมีนางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก รองอธิบดีกรมยุโรป รักษาราชการแทนอธิบดีกรมยุโรป และพลโท เทวัญ ตันกุล หัวหน้าสำนักงานประสานภารกิจทางทหารกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศและกระทรวงกลาโหม เข้าร่วมรับฟังการบรรยายเกี่ยวกับสถานะและการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของไทยในปัจจุบันจากกระทรวงกลาโหม และการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการขยายความร่วมมือกับนานาประเทศโดยเฉพาะกับประเทศในกลุ่มภูมิภาคยุโรปที่มีความก้าวหน้าด้านอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ และมีการกำหนดมาตรฐานตาม NATO Codification System (NCS)
สำหรับผู้บรรยายในหัวข้อความร่วมมือด้านกลาโหมและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ได้แก่ พันเอก กัมปนาท เสฐียรพงษ์ ผู้อำนวยการกองส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ สำนักส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ศูนย์อุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศและพลังงาน กระทรวงกลาโหม และพันเอก ดร.อำพันธ์ จันทร์เพ็งเพ็ญรองผู้อำนวยการสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ (องค์การมหาชน) (DTI)
ที่ประชุมฯ ได้หารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านอุตสาหกรรมการป้องกันประเทศระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในภูมิภาคยุโรป เพื่อเสริมสร้างการพึ่งพาตนเองและพัฒนาศักยภาพในด้านอุตสาหกรรมการป้องกันประเทศของไทย ทั้งการส่งเสริมให้ไทยอยู่ในห่วงโซ่อุปทานของอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของโลก การดึงดูดให้ต่างประเทศมาจัดตั้งโรงงานผลิตยุทโธปกรณ์ การร่วมทุนและถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยี ส่งเสริมการวิจัยและพัฒนา รวมทั้งการส่งเสริมการเข้าร่วมงานแสดงอุตสาหกรรมการป้องกันประเทศของแต่ละฝ่าย และแนวทาง การส่งเสริมให้บริษัทจากประเทศในภูมิภาคยุโรปมาลงทุนในนิคมอุตสาหกรรมการป้องกันประเทศในไทยแบบครบวงจรในอนาคตต่อไป

A Brainstorming Session with the Ministry of Defense to Strengthen Collaboratiom in the Defense Industry between Thailand and European nations.

On 14 May 2026, the Department of European Affairs organized a brainstorming session with the Ministry of Defense to strengthen collaboration in the Defense Industry between Thailand and European nations.
The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and attended by Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs and Lt.Gen. Tawan Tunkul, Chief of Military Affairs Coordination Officers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defence, along with officials from both ministries. During the meeting, the Ministry of Defence delivered a briefing on the current status and development of Thailand’s defense industry. Participants also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation with various countries, particularly those European countries with advanced defense industries and established standards under the NATO Codification System (NCS).
The speakers included Colonel Kampanart Satienpong, Director of Defence Industry Promotion Division, Defence Industry and Energy Centre, Ministry of Defence and Colonel Ampun Janpengpen, Deputy Director General, Defence Technology Institute (DTI).
Discussion included increasing Thailand’s participation in the global defence industry supply chain, attracting foreign investment into Thailand’s defence sector, and promoting technology transfer, research, and development. The meeting also explored ways to strengthen cooperation in defence industry between Thailand and targeted European countries, encourage participation in defence industry exhibitions in both Thailand and Europe, and promote investment by European defence companies in Thailand’s upcoming integrated defence industrial estate.

เมื่อวันที่ 11 พฤษภาคม 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก รักษาการอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้ประชุมหารือกับนายวีระพงษ์ ประภา ผู้แทนการค้าไทย (Thai Trade Representative: TTR) ณ สำนักเลขาธิการนายกรัฐมนตรี เพื่อหารือแนวทางขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจไทย-อียู
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการค้าไทย - อียู เช่น การขับเคลื่อนการเจรจา FTA ไทย-อียู ให้บรรลุผล การเตรียมความพร้อมรับมือกับกฎระเบียบด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของอียูที่มีผลกระทบต่อเศรษฐกิจและการค้าไทย โดยเฉพาะกฎระเบียบว่าด้วยบรรจุภัณฑ์และขยะบรรจุภัณฑ์ (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation: PPWR) การเสริมสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน การพัฒนาเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานยั่งยืน (Sustainable Aviation Fuel :SAF) และการบูรณาการความร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชนของอียู
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังเห็นความสำคัญของการสร้างการมีส่วนร่วมจากผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียทั้งจากภาครัฐ เอกชน สถาบันวิจัย และภาควิชาการ เพื่อขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือให้มีบูรณาการมากยิ่งขึ้นทั้งในระดับภายในและระหว่างประเทศ

Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs Holds Discussions with Thailand Trade Representative (Thai Trade Representatve: TTR) on Thailand–EU Economic and Trade Cooperation

On 11 May 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, held discussions with Mr. Werapong Prapha, Thailand Trade Representative (TTR), at the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat on advancing Thailand–European Union (EU) cooperation in the areas of economy and environment.
Both sides discussed approaches to further enhance Thailand–EU trade and investment, including expediting Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations process, strengthening Thailand’s preparedness for EU environmental regulations that may affect the Thai economy and trade competitiveness, including the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), promoting an enabling environment for the circular economy and enhancing cooperation on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as well as deepening engagement with the European private sector.

Both sides also underscored the importance of enhancing engagement among stakeholders from the public, private and academic sectors and research institution in order to promote more integrated cooperation at both domestic and international levels.

ณ สภาหอการค้าไทย โดยมีผู้แทนจากทั้งภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนเข้าร่วมบรรยายและรับฟังการบรรยายเป็นจำนวนมาก

การเสวนาในครั้งนี้ได้ตอกย้ำความสำคัญของตลาดสหภาพยุโรปต่อภาคธุรกิจไทย พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจเชิงลึกแก่ผู้ประกอบการ SME และหน่วยงานภาครัฐเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมความพร้อมและการขับเคลื่อนภาคธุรกิจให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานและความต้องการของตลาดสหภาพยุโรปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

ทั้งนี้ รักษาการอธิบดีกรมยุโรปได้ให้ข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับพลวัตภายในสหภาพยุโรป และเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญที่ภาคธุรกิจไทยควรเร่งคว้าโอกาสในการก้าวขึ้นเป็นหุ้นส่วนที่เชื่อถือได้ของสหภาพยุโรป เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นและยกระดับความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างกันอย่างยั่งยืน

Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs Highlights Opportunities for Thai Businesses in the EU Market at Thai Chamber of Commerce Seminar

On 8 May 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, participated in and delivered remarks at the seminar entitled “Gateway to the EU Market: Preparing for Business Success,” held at the Thai Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together a large number of representatives from both the public and private sectors.

The seminar highlighted the importance of the European Union (EU) market to Thailand’s business sector and aimed to strengthen understanding among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and relevant government agencies regarding the preparations and business adjustments necessary to effectively comply with EU regulations and market requirements.

During the discussion, Ms. Somrudee shared perspectives on the evolving internal dynamics of the European Union and emphasized the importance of Thai businesses positioning themselves as “Trusted Partners” of the EU. She noted that building mutual trust would contribute to strengthening sustainable economic cooperation and creating new opportunities for closer Thailand–EU economic engagement.

The seminar also served as a platform for exchanging views on strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Thai businesses and support their successful expansion into the European market.

เมื่อวันที่ 11 พฤษภาคม 2569 กลุ่มนักศึกษาหลักสูตรวิทยาลัยป้องกันราชอาณาจักร (วปอ.) รุ่นที่ 67 ของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและกระทรวงกลาโหมพร้อมด้วยข้าราชการจากทั้งสองกระทรวงหารือกันอย่างไม่เป็นทางการ (informal exchange) ครั้งที่ 2/2569 ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พล.อ. ทรงวิทย์ หนุนภักดี อดีตผู้บัญชาการทหารสูงสุด และนายศรันย์ เจริญสุวรรณ ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมเป็นแขกพิเศษ

การหารือ Informal exchange เป็นข้อริเริ่มของกลุ่มนักศึกษา วปอ. 67 เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเชิงลึก สร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือ บูรณาการการทำงาน และสร้างความไว้เนื้อเชื่อใจระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศกับกระทรวงกลาโหม รวมถึงการประเมินสถานการณ์ระหว่างประเทศในปัจจุบันที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อความมั่นคงของไทยและภูมิภาค และการหารือ Informal exchange ครั้งนี้นับเป็นครั้งที่ 3 โดยหารือในหัวข้อ “ผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ความตึงเครียดในตะวันออกกลางต่อภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และไทย” โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล ทัศนะ และข้อคิดเห็นต่อสถานการณ์ในตะวันออกกลาง บทบาทของประเทศมหาอำนาจ และผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นกับไทยและภูมิภาคในด้านความมั่นคงมิติต่าง ๆ รวมถึงความมั่นคงด้านพลังงาน

On 11 May 2026, participants from the National Defence College (NDC) Class 67 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence, together with officials from both ministries, held the 2/2026 informal exchange at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, General Songwit Noonpackdee, former Chief of Defence Forces, and H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs as special guests.

The Informal Exchange was initiated by the NDC Class 67 participants to promote in-depth information sharing, strengthen cooperative networks, enhance inter-agency integration, and build mutual trust between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. The initiative also aims to assess current international developments that may affect the security of Thailand and the region.
This meeting marked the third Informal Exchange session and focused on the topic, “Impacts of tensions in the Middle East on Southeast Asia and Thailand”. Participants exchanged information, perspectives, and views on the situation in the Middle East, the roles of major powers, and the impacts on Thailand and the region across various dimensions of security, including energy security.

เมื่อวันที่ 27 เมษายน 2569 นายกัลยาณะ วิภัติภูมิประเทศ ที่ปรึกษาของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Igor Driesmans เอกอัครราชทูตสหภาพยุโรปประจำกัมพูชาและผู้แทนพิเศษของสหภาพยุโรปสำหรับเมียนมา เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์และพัฒนาการล่าสุดในเมียนมา

ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับความท้าทายและแนวทางความร่วมมือเพื่อส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเชิงบวก รวมถึงความสำคัญของความร่วมมือในกรอบอาเซียนในการส่งเสริมสันติภาพและเสถียรภาพในภูมิภาค โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายยึดมั่นในการดำเนินการตามฉันทามติ 5 ข้อของอาเซียนในการแก้ไขสถานการณ์ในเมียนมา และเน้นย้ำถึงความจำเป็นในการดำเนินการอย่างครบถ้วนและมีประสิทธิภาพ

นอกจากนี้ การมีส่วนร่วมอย่างต่อเนื่องและสร้างสรรค์จากทุกภาคส่วนยังคงมีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงในภูมิภาคในระยะยาว ทั้งสองฝ่ายจึงสนับสนุนความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องระหว่างอาเซียนและสหภาพยุโรปในการส่งเสริมการเจรจา การลดความตึงเครียด และการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรม โดยฝ่ายไทยยืนยันความพร้อมในการทำงานอย่างใกล้ชิดกับหุ้นส่วนระหว่างประเทศ รวมถึงสหภาพยุโรป เพื่อสนับสนุนความพยายามในการบรรลุสันติภาพ เสถียรภาพ และการเจรจาอย่างครอบคลุมในเมียนมาและภูมิภาค

Thailand Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Stability in Meeting with EU Special Envoy
On 27 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with H.E. Mr. Igor Driesmans, Ambassador of the European Union to Cambodia and European Union Special Envoy for Myanmar, to discuss the current situation and latest developments in Myanmar.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on ongoing challenges and explored avenues for cooperation to help foster positive developments in Myanmar. Discussions also highlighted the importance of collaboration at the ASEAN level in supporting efforts toward peace and stability in the region.
Both sides reaffirmed the continued relevance of the ASEAN Five-Point Consensus as a key framework to address the situation in Myanmar. In this regard, they underscored the importance of its full and effective implementation. Both parties emphasized that sustained, constructive engagement by all stakeholders remains essential to strengthening long-term regional security. They further expressed support for continued cooperation between ASEAN and the European Union in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and humanitarian assistance.
Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with international partners, including the European Union, to support efforts aimed at achieving peace, stability, and inclusive dialogue in Myanmar and the broader region.
