🌍⚡ Powering a cleaner future in Central Asia!

With the support of the British Embassy in Turkmenistan, senior representatives from Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Energy 🇹🇲 participated in a regional training workshop in Tashkent from 31 March to 3 April.

Delivered by leading UK technical experts and academics under the Green Grids Initiative, the workshop focused on developing practical, country-level plans to transition to modern, clean electricity systems.

💡 Participants gained:

• A clear understanding of the key areas needed for a successful transition to green energy.

• Practical tools to design and implement national transition plans.

• Access to resources and global expertise.

• A framework to track progress and results.

• Connections to an international community working on similar challenges.

⚡ As electricity demand grows, so does the importance of building resilient, sustainable, and low-carbon power systems. This practical training equips participants with the knowledge and tools to accelerate that transition in Turkmenistan and across the region.

🇬🇧 The United Kingdom stands ready to support Central Asian countries in modernising and decarbonising their electricity systems, increasing the share of renewable energy, and building a greener, more sustainable future for all.
