On the night of June 2, Russia launched another large-scale attack against Ukraine.

In Kyiv, Russian attack killed four people and injured at least 58, including three children. The strikes damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure across several districts of the capital. A nine-storey residential building was hit, causing the partial collapse of its upper floors. Emergency services continue to search the rubble as people may still be trapped underneath.

In the Dnipro region, seven people were killed and 35 injured in Russian attacks on residential areas in Dnipro and Kamianske. Among them are 3 kids. During rescue operations following the initial strike, Russia launched a second attack that killed a rescuer. Search and rescue operations continue.

In the Kharkiv region, Russian attack injured at least 14 people, including a child. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged in several communities across the region.

In the Chernihiv region, a 15-year-old boy was injured. Among the damaged facilities are warehouses, a school and private homes.

Russia continues to wage war against civilians. More pressure on the aggressor, stronger sanctions, and more support for Ukraine’s air defence are needed to save lives

Instead, Ukraine spent years developing asymmetric solutions. Now we see them playing out in full – on the battlefield, in diplomacy, and in cognitive warfare.

On the land, Russia’s manpower is no longer a decisive advantage thanks to Ukrainian drones and new tactics. Russia’s advances have stalled. Ukraine stabilised the frontline and holds the line.

In the sea, the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet has been either destroyed or neutralised thanks to naval drones. Its remains hide in faraway bases, but we get them even there.

In the sky, thousands of cost-effective interceptor drones are neutralising 92% of Russian combat drones. The goal now is to develop our own protection from ballistics together with European partners. This is a matter of strategic autonomy.

In economy, Ukraine’s long-range sanctions are effectively crippling Russia’s war machine by daily strikes on legitimate military targets of up to 2,000 kilometres inside Russia. There are no safe places in Russia anymore. Probably not something Putin saw coming when he attacked Ukraine.

We take the same asymmetric approach in diplomacy. When the world expressed deep concerns over the Iranian strikes in the Gulf, Ukraine acted. We showed not only to the Gulf states but to the whole world Ukraine’s new role as a reliable security partner.

We are deepening ties with countries from Latin America to Africa, South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Indo-Pacific, where Russia’s influence gradually fades.

In energy, horrific Russian bombardments over the past winters taught us to decentralise and build resilient systems and approaches. We are now ready to share this experience with others.

In digital sphere, Ukraine is one of the most advanced nations on the planet: from digital public services to mil-tech and the use of AI and big data in governance. It has become one of our export positions.

30 травня 2026 року відбулася зустріч Тимчасового повіреного у справах України в Туркменістані Петра Макаренка із заступником Міністра закордонних справ Туркменістану А.Гурбановим з нагоди завершення його дипломатичної місії в Ашгабаті.

Сторони обговорили актуальні питання українсько-туркменського співробітництва, перспективи розвитку двосторонніх відносин та взаємодію в міжнародних структурах. Було відзначено активізацію політичного діалогу та результати візиту Спеціального представника Міністра закордонних справ України Віктора Майка до Туркменістану.

Також ішлося про розвиток транспортно-логістичної та економічної співпраці, гуманітарні й освітні проєкти, а також участь українських компаній у регіональних ініціативах.

Петро Макаренко подякував туркменській стороні за конструктивну взаємодію та підтримку спільних ініціатив. Сторони підтвердили зацікавленість у подальшому розвитку співробітництва.

Відбулася зустріч тимчасового повіреного у справах України в Туркменістані Петра Макаренка з послом Великої Британії в Туркменістані Стівеном Конлоном.

Під час зустрічі сторони обговорили актуальні питання двосторонньої взаємодії, регіонального та міжнародного порядку денного, а також перспективи подальшої співпраці у політичній, гуманітарній та публічно-дипломатичній сферах.

Окрему увагу було приділено підсумкам спільної роботи та реалізованим ініціативам упродовж останнього періоду. Українська сторона висловила щиру вдячність Великій Британії за послідовну підтримку України, принципову позицію та активну взаємодію в рамках спільних дипломатичних і публічних заходів.

Зустріч також стала нагодою підбити підсумки роботи Петра Макаренка на посаді Тимчасового повіреного у справах України в Туркменістані у зв’язку із завершенням його дипломатичної каденції. Сторони відзначили важливість збереження активного українсько-британського діалогу та висловили сподівання на подальший розвиток партнерської співпраці.

A meeting was held between the Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Turkmenistan, Petro Makarenko, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Turkmenistan, Stephen Conlon.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international developments, and prospects for further cooperation in the political, humanitarian, and public diplomacy spheres.

Particular attention was paid to the results of joint work and initiatives implemented over the recent period. The Ukrainian side expressed sincere gratitude to the United Kingdom for its consistent support for Ukraine, principled position, and active cooperation within the framework of joint diplomatic and public events.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the work of Petro Makarenko as Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Turkmenistan in connection with the completion of his diplomatic assignment. The parties emphasized the importance of maintaining an active Ukrainian-British dialogue and expressed hope for the further development of partnership cooperation.

У церемонії взяв участь колектив Посольства України в Туркменістані.

У різних куточках світу українці завжди знаходять дорогу до Шевченка — до місць, де звучить і живе українське слово. Пам’ятники Кобзареві стають особливими точками єднання, які нагадують про дім, коріння та силу української ідентичності.

As part of the visit to Turkmenistan by the Special Representative of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for Central Asia, Viktor Maiko, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the monument to Taras Shevchenko in Ashgabat.

The ceremony was attended by the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Turkmenistan.

In different parts of the world, Ukrainians always find their way to Shevchenko — to places where the Ukrainian word lives and resonates. Monuments to the Kobzar become special points of unity, reminding us of home, our roots, and the strength of Ukrainian identity.

24 травня Спеціальний представник Міністра закордонних справ України в регіоні Центральної Азії Віктор Майко провів зустріч із заступником голови Уряду, Міністром закордонних справ Туркменістану Рашидом Мередовим.

Сторони обговорили актуальний стан і перспективи розвитку двостороннього співробітництва та взаємодії у багатосторонніх форматах. З метою збереження позитивної динаміки українсько-туркменського діалогу, співрозмовники обговорили графік подальших двосторонніх контактів.

Окрему увагу було приділено питанням розвитку транспортних та логістичних коридорів, торговельно-економічної взаємодії, а також культурно-гуманітарного співробітництва.

Українська сторона висловила вдячність Туркменістану за підтримку України в рамках міжнародних організацій та за надану гуманітарну допомогу.

Сторони також відзначили важливість відновлення роботи Спільної міжурядової комісії з питань торговельно-економічного і культурно-гуманітарного співробітництва.

Посольство України в Туркменістані відзначило це свято разом зі співробітниками та українською громадою. З нагоди Дня Вишиванки також організовано тематичний урок у Недільній школі. 💙💛

Every year on the third Thursday in May, millions of Ukrainians around the world — at home and in the community, on the front line and abroad — wear a vyshyvanka. Not because they’re told to, nor because it’s fashionable. But because their hearts tell them to.
The vyshyvanka is a symbol that lives on. It knows no borders: it is equally recognisable in Ashgabat and Toronto, in Warsaw and New York. That is precisely why today the vyshyvanka is also a symbol of resilience. As long as we wear it, we are together.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Turkmenistan celebrated this holiday together with its staff and the Ukrainian community. A themed lesson was also organised at the Sunday School to mark Vyshyvanka Day. 💙💛
