A STRONG START FOR THE INDOMITABLE LIONS IN TUNIS

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon delivered an impressive performance on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, at the El Menzah Sports Palace in Tunis, securing a victory over the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in their opening match of the 2026 African Volleyball Championship.

Following a competitive encounter marked by a commendable spirit of sportsmanship, the Cameroonian national team prevailed 3 sets to 0.

This victory reflects the determination, collective discipline and quality of work demonstrated by the players and their technical staff. It represents an encouraging first step for the Indomitable Lions in this continental competition.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Tunisia extends its warmest congratulations to the players, the technical staff and the entire Cameroonian delegation on this outstanding performance.

The Embassy also wishes to commend the fighting spirit and fair play displayed by the Leopards of the DRC, who gave a strong account of themselves and contributed to making this match a memorable celebration of sport and African fraternity. BELLE ENTRÉE EN LICE DES LIONS INDOMPTABLES À TUNIS

Les Lions Indomptables du Cameroun ont signé, ce mardi 15 septembre 2026, une belle performance au Palais des Sports d’El Menzah à Tunis, en s’imposant face aux Léopards de la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) à l’occasion de leur premier match du Championnat d’Afrique des Nations de volleyball 2026.

Au terme d’une rencontre engagée et empreinte d’un bel esprit sportif, la sélection camerounaise s’est imposée sur le score de 3 sets à 0.

Cette victoire traduit la détermination, la discipline collective et la qualité du travail accompli par les joueurs et leur encadrement technique. Elle constitue une première étape encourageante pour les Lions Indomptables dans cette compétition continentale.

L’Ambassade de la République du Cameroun en Tunisie adresse ses chaleureuses félicitations aux joueurs, au staff technique et à l’ensemble de la délégation camerounaise pour cette performance.

CHAMPIONNAT D’AFRIQUE DES NATIONS DE VOLLEYBALL MESSIEURS – TUNISIE 2026 : Les Lions Indomptables de volleyball entrent en lice

Les Lions Indomptables de volleyball du Cameroun disputeront leur premier match du Championnat d’Afrique des Nations (CHAN) 2026 le mardi 15 septembre 2026 à 15h, face aux Léopards de la République Démocratique du Congo, au Palais des Sports d’El Menzah.

À l’occasion de cette importante rencontre sportive, l’Ambassade de la République du Cameroun en Tunisie présente la sélection nationale retenue pour cette compétition, ainsi que le staff technique chargé de conduire l’équipe durant son parcours en terre tunisienne.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL AFRICAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP – TUNISIA 2026 : The Indomitable Lions of Volleyball kick off their campaign

The Indomitable Lions of Volleyball from Cameroon will play their first match of the 2026 African Nations Championship on Tuesday September 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM against the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, at the El Menzah Sports Palace.

On the occasion of this major sports event, the Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Tunisia presents the national team selected for this competition, as well as the technical staff in charge of managing the team during their journey on the Tunisian soil.

The attached photographs introduce the Indomitable Lions and the technical staff set to represent Cameroon with pride during this continental showdown.

The Embassy extends its encouragement to our athletes and the entire management staff, and invites the Cameroonian community in Tunisia to mobilize in support of their national team.

CHAN Messieurs 2026 : ACCUEIL DE L’ÉQUIPE NATIONALE DE VOLLEYBALL DU CAMEROUN EN TUNISIE

L’Ambassade de la République du Cameroun en Tunisie a eu le plaisir d’accueillir, à son arrivée à Tunis, l’équipe nationale masculine de volleyball du Cameroun, venue prendre part au Championnat d’Afrique des Nations de volleyball messieurs, qui se tiendra en Tunisie du 15 au 25 septembre 2026.

À cette occasion, l’Ambassade a tenu à apporter son soutien et son accompagnement à la délégation camerounaise, en veillant à faciliter son séjour et à contribuer au bon déroulement de sa mission sportive.

Dans le prolongement de cet accueil, S.E DJOBO Samuel, Ambassadeur du Cameroun en Tunisie a effectué une visite de courtoisie à l’hôtel où séjourne l’équipe. Cette rencontre a été l’occasion d’échanger avec les joueurs, l’encadrement technique et les responsables de la délégation, de s’enquérir de leurs conditions de séjour et de leur adresser ses encouragements et ses vœux de plein succès.

L’Ambassade a réaffirmé, à cette occasion, sa disponibilité à accompagner la délégation camerounaise tout au long de son séjour et à lui apporter, dans le cadre de ses missions, l’appui institutionnel nécessaire.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL AFRICAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP – TUNISIA 2026: Welcoming the Cameroonian National Volleyball Team to Tunisia

The Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Tunisia had the distinct pleasure of welcoming the Cameroon men's national volleyball team upon their arrival in Tunis. The team is here to participate in the Men's Volleyball African Nations Championship, held in Tunisia from September 15 to 25, 2026.

On this occasion, the Embassy was keen to extend its full support and guidance to the Cameroonian delegation, ensuring a seamless stay and contributing to the optimal completion of their sporting mission.

Following this initial reception, H.E. DJOBO Samuel, Ambassador of Cameroon to Tunisia, paid a courtesy visit to the team's hotel. This gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with the players, the technical staff, and other officials, to inquire about their accommodations, and offer his heartfelt encouragement and wishes for absolute success.

The Embassy took this opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to assisting the Cameroonian delegation throughout their stay and to providing the necessary institutional support within the scope of its diplomatic mission.

Echange avec des représentants de la Communauté camerounaise en Tunisie

Le vendredi 4 septembre 2026 l’Ambassadeur du Cameroun en Tunisie, S.E. DJOBO Samuel, a reçu des représentants de la communauté camerounaise en Tunisie, en l’occurrence des membres du bureau de l’Association des Etudiants et Stagiaires Camerounais en Tunisie (AESCT) et de l’Association des Vétérans Camerounais de Tunis (VECATU).

Cette rencontre s'est déroulée dans le cadre de la clôture de la 4ème édition du Tournoi de l’Ambassadeur, un championnat de football intercommunautaire africain organisé par l’AESCT le 23 août 2026 à Tunis. À cette occasion, le prestigieux trophée ainsi que l'équipe victorieuse de la VECATU, sacrée championne au terme de la compétition, ont été officiellement présentés à Son Excellence Monsieur l’Ambassadeur.

En saluant cette belle initiative porteuse d’unité, de partage et de solidarité intercommunautaire, l’Ambassade adresse une fois encore ses plus chaleureuses félicitations aux grands vainqueurs pour leur parcours exceptionnel.

Meeting with representatives of the Cameroonian Community in Tunisia

On Friday, September 4, 2026, Cameroon’s Ambassador to Tunisia, H.E. DJOBO Samuel, hosted a delegation of the Cameroonian community. The meeting included the executive boards of the Association of Cameroonian Students and Trainees in Tunisia (AESCT) and the Association of Cameroonian Veterans of Tunis (VECATU).

This meeting marked the conclusion of the 4th edition of the Ambassador’s Tournament, an African inter-community football championship organized by AESCT in Tunis on August 23, 2026. During the audience, the prestigious trophy was officially presented to His Excellency the Ambassador alongside the victorious VECATU team, who were crowned tournament champions.

In commending this wonderful initiative, which fosters unity, sharing, and inter-community solidarity, the Embassy once again extends its warmest congratulations to the winners for their outstanding performance.

Eliminatoires de la Coupe du Monde de Basketball, FIBA 2027

Le vendredi 28 août 2026, l’Ambassadeur du Cameroun en Tunisie, S.E. DJOBO Samuel, s’est rendu à la Salle multidisciplinaire de Radès afin d’apporter son soutien à la sélection nationale masculine de basket-ball. Les Lions Indomptables étaient opposés à l’équipe nationale tunisienne dans le cadre du deuxième tour des éliminatoires africaines de la Coupe du Monde FIBA 2027.

Au terme d'une rencontre de haut niveau, la sélection camerounaise s’est imposée avec une différence notable de 22 points, consolidant ainsi sa trajectoire dans cette phase qualificative. Le Cameroun a notamment pu compter sur une prestation remarquable de M. Yves MISSI, auteur de 19 points et 14 rebonds, tandis que M. Yacine TOUMI a terminé meilleur marqueur avec 19 points côté tunisien.

Au-delà du score, cette victoire a revêtu une importance stratégique dans la course à la qualification. Elle a permis au Cameroun de consolider sa position dans la compétition, tout en engrangeant une précieuse confiance face à un adversaire expérimenté du basketball africain. L’écart final a également constitué un avantage significatif dans la perspective d’un éventuel départage à la différence de points.

Grâce à un bilan positif de sept victoires pour une seule défaite, le Cameroun aborde la suite de la compétition en position de force. Solidement installés dans le Groupe E, les Lions Indomptables se trouvent dans des conditions idéales pour décrocher leur qualification lors de l'ultime fenêtre de février 2027.

L’Ambassade salue la performance de l’ensemble des joueurs ainsi que la qualité de l’accueil des autorités tunisiennes.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers

On Friday, August 28, 2026, Cameroon’s Ambassador to Tunisia, H.E. DJOBO Samuel, visited the Radès Multipurpose Hall to support the national men's basketball team. The Indomitable Lions faced the Tunisian national team in the second round of the African qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027.

Following a high-level match, the Cameroonian team secured a victory with a commanding 22 poinnts margin, thereby strengthening their standing in the qualifying campaign. Cameroon benefited notably from an outstanding performance by Mr. Yves MISSI, who recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Mr. Yacine TOUMI finished as the top scorer for Tunisia with 19 points.

Beyond the final score, this victory held strategic importance in the race for qualification. It allowed Cameroon to solidify its position in the competition while gaining valuable confidence against an experienced African basketball opponent. The final margin also represents a significant advantage should a tie-breaker based on point difference come into play.

With a strong record of seven wins and only one loss, Cameroon heads into the remainder of the competition from a position of strength. Firmly established in Group E, the Indomitable Lions are well-positioned to secure qualification during the final window in February 2027.

The Embassy commends the performance of all the players as well as the warm welcome extended by the Tunisian authorities.
