استقبل السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، اليوم الإثنين 18 ماي 2026، السيد عزوز السامري، رئيس بعثة المنظمة الدولية للهجرة بتونس.
ومثّل اللقاء مناسبة لاستعراض حصيلة برنامج العودة الطوعية وإعادة الإدماج لفائدة المهاجرين غير النظاميين، حيث أفاد رئيس بعثة المنظمة الدولية للهجرة بتونس بأن عدد المنتفعين بهذا البرنامج بلغ، منذ انطلاقه سنة 2022 إلى غاية اليوم، 22.377 مهاجرا غير نظامي، من بينهم 2103 خلال سنة 2026 (إلى حدود اليوم)، مشيرا إلى أن المنظمة بصدد التحضير لتأمين عودة ما يقارب 400 مهاجر غير نظامي إضافي خلال الفترة القريبة المقبلة.

وفي هذا الإطار، ثمّن الوزير الجهود التي تبذلها المنظمة لتأمين العودة الطوعية للمهاجرين غير النظاميين إلى بلدانهم الأصلية، وذلك في كنف الاحترام الكامل لحقوق الإنسان وصون الكرامة الإنسانية. كما أكّد على أهمية العمل على التسريع في نسق رحلات العودة الطوعية، مع الحرص على توفير الإحاطة الاجتماعية والمرافقة اللوجستية والصحية اللازمة بما يضمن استدامة العودة ونجاعتها.
كما دعا إلى تعزيز التنسيق وتكثيف الجهود المشتركة، والعمل على تطوير الآليات الكفيلة بالتشجيع على العودة الطوعية، بما يتيح فرصًا أفضل لإعادة الإدماج في بلدان المنشأ، ويساهم في دعم مقاربات التنمية المتضامنة.
ومن جانبه، أشاد رئيس بعثة المنظمة الدولية للهجرة بتونس بالمقاربة التونسية الشاملة للتعاطي مع ظاهرة الهجرة غير النظامية، والتي ترتكز أساسا على التعاطي معها وفق المبادئ الفضلى القائمة على احترام وحماية حقوق المهاجرين ومجابهة كل أشكال الاتجار بالبشر وشبكات الجريمة المنظمة.
كما تناول اللقاء مختلف برامج التعاون القائمة بين تونس والمنظمة الدولية للهجرة، لاسيما المشاريع المتعلقة بالإدماج والتنمية، على غرار مشروع "ح**ة" الهادف إلى تعزيز فرص الإدماج الاجتماعي والاقتصادي للشباب الأكثر عرضة للهجرة غير النظامية والفئات الهشة، من خلال تنمية المهارات والتكوين الملائم، وكذلك مشروع "Mobi-TRE” الذي يهدف إلى تعبئة استثمارات وكفاءات الجالية التونسية بالخارج لدعم التنمية الاقتصادية بالمناطق الداخلية والمساهمة في إحداث مواطن شغل مستدامة لفائدة الشباب.

M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Etrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Etranger, a reçu aujourd’hui, lundi 18 mai 2026, M. Azouz Samri, Chef de Mission de l’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations (OIM) en Tunisie.
Cette rencontre a été l’occasion de passer en r***e le bilan du programme de retour volontaire et de réintégration destiné aux migrants en situation irrégulière. Le chef de mission de l’OIM en Tunisie a indiqué que le nombre de bénéficiaires de ce programme a atteint, depuis son lancement en 2022 jusqu’à ce jour, 22 377 migrants en situation irrégulière, dont 2 103 au cours de l’année 2026 (jusqu’à ce jour). Il a également précisé que l’Organisation prépare actuellement le retour d’environ 400 migrants supplémentaires dans un avenir proche.
Dans ce contexte, M. le Ministre a salué les efforts déployés par l’Organisation pour assurer le retour volontaire des migrants en situation irrégulière vers leurs pays d’origine, dans le plein respect des droits de l’Homme et de la dignité humaine. Il a également souligné l’importance d’accélérer le rythme des opérations de retour volontaire, tout en veillant à fournir l’accompagnement social ainsi que l’assistance logistique et sanitaire nécessaires afin de garantir la durabilité et l’efficacité du retour.
M. le Ministre a, par ailleurs, appelé à renforcer la coordination et à intensifier les efforts conjoints, ainsi qu’à développer des mécanismes encourageant le retour volontaire, de manière à offrir de meilleures opportunités de réintégration dans les pays d’origine et à soutenir les approches de développement solidaire.
De son côté, le chef de mission de l’OIM en Tunisie a salué l’approche tunisienne globale dans la gestion du phénomène de la migration irrégulière, fondée principalement sur le respect et la protection des droits des migrants ainsi que sur la lutte contre toutes les formes de traite des êtres humains et les réseaux de criminalité organisée.
La rencontre a également porté sur les différents programmes de coopération en cours entre la Tunisie et l’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations, notamment les projets liés à l’intégration et au développement. Parmi ces programmes figure le projet « Helma », visant à renforcer les opportunités d’insertion sociale et économique des jeunes les plus exposés à la migration irrégulière et des catégories vulnérables, à travers le développement des compétences et des formations adaptées. Il a aussi été question du projet « Mobi-TRE », qui vise à mobiliser les investissements et les compétences de la diaspora tunisienne à l’étranger afin de soutenir le développement économique des régions intérieures et de contribuer à la création d’emplois durables au profit des jeunes.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received today, Monday, 18 May 2026, Mr. Azouz Samri, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the outcomes of the Voluntary Return and Reintegration Programme for irregular migrants. The IOM Chief of Mission in Tunisia indicated that the number of beneficiaries of this programme has reached 22,377 irregular migrants since its launch in 2022 to date, including 2,103 during 2026 up to now. He also noted that the Organization is currently preparing to facilitate the voluntary return of approximately 400 additional irregular migrants in the near future.
In this context, the Minister commended the efforts undertaken by the Organization to ensure the voluntary return of irregular migrants to their countries of origin, in full respect of human rights and the preservation of human dignity. He also stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of voluntary return operations, while ensuring the provision of necessary social support as well as logistical and health assistance to guarantee the sustainability and effectiveness of returns.
He further called for strengthened coordination and intensified joint efforts, as well as the development of mechanisms that encourage voluntary return, offering better opportunities for reintegration in countries of origin and contributing to the promotion of solidarity-based development approaches.
For his part, the IOM Chief of Mission in Tunisia praised Tunisia’s comprehensive approach to addressing irregular migration, which is fundamentally based on best practices centered on the respect and protection of migrants’ rights and the fight against all forms of human trafficking and organized crime networks.
The meeting also addressed the various ongoing cooperation programmes between Tunisia and the International Organization for Migration, particularly projects related to integration and development, such as the “Helma” project, which aims to enhance social and economic integration opportunities for youth most vulnerable to irregular migration and for vulnerable groups through skills development and tailored training, as well as the “Mobi-TRE” project, which seeks to mobilize investments and expertise from the Tunisian diaspora to support economic development in inland regions and contribute to the creation of sustainable employment opportunities for young people.

وفي مستهلّ اللقاء، نوّه الوزير بالمستوى المتميّز الذي بلغته علاقات الصداقة والتعاون والشراكة القائمة بين تونس وجمهورية كوريا في مختلف المجالات، لاسيما في الميادين ذات الأولوية والقيمة المضافة العالية على غرار الصحة الرقميّة وصناعة مكوّنات السيارات ورقمنة الإدارة وتكنولوجيات الإتصال والخدمات الرقميّة، مشيدا بالدور المحوري الذي تضطلع به الوكالة الكوريّة للتعاون الدولي "KOICA" في إنجاح وتطوير هذا التعاون وتوسيع آفاقه.
وأكّد الوزير على أهميّة اجتماع وزراء خارجية كوريا-افريقيا المزمع عقده بسيول في غرة جوان 2026 وإمكانيات التعاون الثلاثي التونسي الكوري الافريقي، بالإضافة إلى فرص توسيع قاعدة الاستثمارات الكورية بتونس وتنويعها.
ومن جانبه، نوّه السفير بجودة العلاقات بين البلدين، وجدّد التزامه بمزيد العمل على تطويرها وتوسيع مجالات التعاون الثنائي، خاصة في أفق احتفال البلدين بالذكرى 60 لإرساء العلاقات الدبلوماسية بينهما خلال السنوات المقبلة. وأشار إلى الإمكانيات الواعدة في مجال تنمية الإستثمارات المشتركة والرفع في نسق التبادل التجاري في ضوء البوادر الطيّبة لاعتزام شركة كورية توريد كميات هامة من زيت الزيتون التونسي إضافة إلى مواد غذائية أخرى هامة.

Au début de la rencontre, le Ministre a salué le niveau distingué des relations d’amitié, de coopération et de partenariat entre la Tunisie et la République de Corée dans différents domaines, notamment les secteurs prioritaires à forte valeur ajoutée tels que la santé numérique, l’industrie des composants automobiles, la gouvernance électronique, les technologies de communication et les services numériques, en mettant en avant le rôle central joué par l’Agence Coréenne de Coopération Internationale (KOICA) dans la réussite et le développement de cette coopération ainsi que l’élargissement de ses perspectives.
Le Ministre a en outre souligné l’importance de la réunion des ministres des Affaires Etrangères Corée-Afrique prévue à Seoul le 1er juin 2026 et le potentiel de la coopération triangulaire Tunisie-Corée-Afrique, ainsi que les opportunités d’élargir et de diversifier la base des investissements coréens en Tunisie.
De son côté, l’Ambassadeur a salué la qualité des relations bilatérales et a réaffirmé son engagement à œuvrer davantage au développement et à l’élargissement des domaines de coopération bilatérale, notamment dans la perspective de la célébration, du 60eme anniversaire de l’établissement des relations diplomatiques entre les deux pays au cours des prochaines années. Il a également évoqué les perspectives prometteuses en matière de développement des investissements conjoints et de renforcement des échanges commerciaux, à la lumière des discussions en cours concernant l’intention d’une entreprise coréenne d’importer des quantités importantes d’huile d’olive tunisien ainsi que d’autres produits alimentaires.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received today, Monday, May 18th 2026, Mr. Lee Tae-Won, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tunisia.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister praised the distinguished level of friendship, cooperation and partnership between Tunisia and the Republic of Korea in various fields, particularly in priority sectors with high added value, such as digital health, automotive components manufacturing, e-governance, communication technologies and digital services. He also commended the pivotal role played by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in the success and development of this cooperation and in broadening its future prospects.
The Minister further emphasized the importance of the Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers meeting scheduled to be held in Seoul on June 1st 2026, as well as the high potential of Tunisia-Korea-Africa triangular cooperation as well as opportunities to expand and diversify the Korean investments in Tunisia.
For his part, the Ambassador praised the quality of bilateral relations and reaffirmed his commitment to work for the strengthening and expanding areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in light of the upcoming celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries over the next few years. He also referred to the promising opportunities for developing joint investments and enhancing trade exchanges, particularly in view of ongoing discussions regarding a Korean company’s intention in importing significant quantities of Tunisian olive oil as well as other food products.

يصادف اليوم، 15 ماي 2026، الذكرى الثامنة والسبعين ليوم النكبة، الذي نستحضر فيه مسيرة كفاح الشّعب الفلسطيني الأبيّ وصموده البطولي ضد غطرسة سلطات الاحتلال الغاشم، من أجل تحقيق تطلّعاته المشروعة في العيش بحرية وكرامة في ظلّ دولة مستقلّة وذات سيادة على كامل أرض فلسطين.
ويتزامن احياء هذه الذكرى مع تواصل انتهاكات سلطات الاحتلال لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة وتضييق الخناق على سكانه من خلال غلق المعابر ومنع دخول المساعدات الانسانية وتقييد حركة الأشخاص مما أدى إلى استفحال الكارثة الانسانية التي يعيشها سكان القطاع.
كما تتزامن هذه الذكرى مع تمادي سلطات الكيان المحتل في سن القوانين العنصرية كقانون اعدام الأسرى الفلسطينيين، وفي اعتماد سياسات ضم الأراضي الفلسطينية في الضفة الغربية المحتلة وتسجيلها باسم دولة الكيان، بهدف توسيع رقعة الاستيطان وخلق أمر واقع جديد لفرض سيادته المزعومة على الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، وذلك في انتهاك صارخ لكافة القوانين والمواثيق الدولية ذات الصلة.
وتجدد تونس في هذه الذكرى الرمزية وقوفها اجلالا واكبارا للصمود البطولي للشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق الذي يُواجه بمفرده غطرسة وطُغيان الكيان المحتّل ووحشيّة ترسانته العسكرية، أمام صمتٍ مريبٍ للمجتمع الدولي، ليُسطّر، بأحرف من ذهب، ملحمة تاريخيّة جديدة، لم تشهدها الإنسانية، في نضاله المتواصل من أجل استرداد أراضيه المغتصبة واستعادة حقوقه التاريخية المشروعة كاملة دون نقصان.
وتذكّر تونس أن فلسطين دولة بمقتضى القانون الدولي وباعتراف ما يناهز ال 150 دولة وأنه قد آن أوان منحها حقها المشروع في العضوية الكاملة بمنظمة الأمم المتّحدة دون مزيد من المماطلة والتأخير.
وتُجدّد تونس، بهذه المناسبة، دعمها غير المشروط للشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق في الذود عن حقه غير القابل للتصرّف والذي لا يسقط بالتقادم، وتؤكّد على موقفها الثابت والمناصر للأشقاء الفلسطينيين في تقرير مصيرهم وفي نضالهم من أجل استعادة حقوقهم التاريخية المشروعة كاملة وإقامة دولتهم على كامل أرض فلسطين وعاصمتها القدس الشريف.

Aujourd’hui, 15 mai 2026, marque le soixante-dix-huitième anniversaire de la Nakba, une occasion où nous rappelons le parcours de lutte du fier peuple palestinien et sa résistance héroïque face à l’arrogance des forces d’occupation oppressives, afin de réaliser ses aspirations légitimes à vivre dans la liberté et la dignité au sein d’un État indépendant et souverain sur l’ensemble du territoire palestinien.
La commémoration de cet anniversaire coïncide avec la poursuite des violations par les forces d’occupation de l’accord de cessez-le-feu dans la Bande de Gaza, ainsi qu’avec le resserrement du blocus imposé à ses habitants à travers la fermeture des points de passage, l’interdiction de l’entrée de l’aide humanitaire et les restrictions à la circulation des personnes, ce qui a aggravé la catastrophe humanitaire que subissent les habitants du territoire.
Cet anniversaire coïncide également avec la persistance des autorités de l’entité occupante à promulguer des lois discriminatoires, telles que la loi sur l’exécution des prisonniers palestiniens, ainsi qu’à adopter des politiques d’annexion des terres palestiniennes en Cisjordanie occupée et à les enregistrer au nom de l’État occupant, dans le but d’étendre les colonies et de créer un nouveau fait accompli visant à affirmer sa prétendue souveraineté sur les territoires palestiniens occupés, en violation flagrante de toutes les lois et conventions internationales pertinentes.
À l’occasion de cette date symbolique, la Tunisie réaffirme son admiration et son profond respect pour la résistance héroïque du peuple palestinien frère, qui affronte seul l’arrogance, la tyrannie de l’entité occupante et la brutalité de son arsenal militaire, face à un silence inquiétant de la communauté internationale. Il écrit ainsi, en lettres d’or, une nouvelle épopée historique sans précédent dans l’histoire de l’humanité, à travers sa lutte continue pour récupérer ses terres usurpées et restaurer pleinement ses droits historiques légitimes.
La Tunisie rappelle également que la Palestine est un État au regard du droit international et qu’elle est reconnue par près de 150 États. Elle estime qu’il est désormais temps de lui accorder son droit légitime à une adhésion pleine et entière à l’Organisation des Nations Unies, sans davantage de tergiversations ni de re**rd.
La Tunisie renouvelle également, en cette occasion, son soutien inconditionnel au peuple palestinien frère dans la défense de son droit inaliénable et imprescriptible, et réaffirme sa position constante de soutien aux Palestiniens dans leur droit à l’autodétermination, dans leur lutte pour la récupération intégrale de leurs droits historiques légitimes et pour l’établissement de leur État sur l’ensemble du territoire palestinien avec Al-Qods Al-Charif comme capitale.

Today, 15 May 2026, marks the seventy-eighth anniversary of Nakba Day, on which we recall the struggle of the brave Palestinian people and their heroic steadfastness against the arrogance of the occupying authorities, in pursuit of their legitimate aspirations to live in freedom and dignity in an independent and sovereign State on all the land of Palestine.
This anniversary coincides with the continued violations by the occupying authorities of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, and the tightening of the siege on its residents through the closure of crossings, the prevention of humanitarian aid from entering, and restrictions on the movement of persons, which has led to the worsening of the humanitarian catastrophe endured by the people of the Strip.
It also comes as the authorities of the occupying entity persist in enacting racist laws, such as the law on the ex*****on of Palestinian prisoners, and in pursuing policies of annexing Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank and registering it under the name of the entity’s State, with the aim of expanding settlement and creating a new fait accompli to impose its alleged sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory, in flagrant violation of all relevant international laws and conventions.
On this symbolic anniversary, Tunisia renews its reverence and admiration for the heroic steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people, who stand alone in the face of the arrogance and tyranny of the occupying entity and the brutality of its military arsenal, amid the disturbing silence of the international community, thus inscribing, in letters of gold, a new historic epic, unparalleled in human history, in their ongoing struggle to recover their usurped lands and restore all their legitimate historical rights in full and without diminution.
Tunisia reminds that Palestine is a State under international law and is recognized by nearly 150 countries, and that the time has come to grant it its legitimate right to full membership in the United Nations, without further procrastination or delay.
On this occasion, Tunisia reiterates its unconditional support for the brotherly Palestinian people in defending their inalienable and imprescriptible right, and affirms its steadfast position in support of our Palestinian brothers in their right to self-determination and in their struggle to restore all their legitimate historical rights and establish their State on all the land of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

عقد السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، يوم 13 ماي 2026 بمقر الوزارة، جلسة عمل جمعته بالسيد خورخي موريرا دا سيلفا، وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والمدير التنفيذي لـمكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع، الذي يؤدي زيارة عمل إلى تونس في إطار الاحتفال بالذكرى العشرين لافتتاح المكتب الأممي بتونس، وذلك بحضور المدير الإقليمي لإفريقيا للمكتب والمنسقة المقيمة لمنظومة الأمم المتحدة بتونس.
ومثّلت الجلسة مناسبة للتأكيد على عمق علاقات التعاون والشراكة بين تونس ومنظومة الأمم المتحدة، القائمة على الثقة المتبادلة والحوار والالتزام المشترك بمبادئ التعددية والتضامن الدولي، وللتنويه بالتطور المطّرد للتعاون القائم مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع منذ سنة 2006، حيث ثمّن الوزير الدور الذي يضطلع به المكتب الأممي في دعم جهود التنمية في تونس خاصة في مجالات الصحة، وإدارة المشاريع، وتطوير البنية التحتية، والدعم المؤسساتي، والخدمات اللوجستية والشراءات.
ويُذكر أن المكتب الأممي يتولى حالياً تنفيذ 18 مشروعاً في تونس بقيمة تناهز 74.6 مليون دولار أمريكي، إلى جانب مشاريع أُنجزت خلال السنوات الماضية تجاوزت قيمتها 133 مليون دولار، بما يعكس الثقة المتبادلة ونجاعة الشراكة القائمة بين الجانبين.
وفي هذا السياق، أبرز الوزير أن الاحتفال بالذكرى العشرين لإحداث مكتب المنظمة بتونس يُعدّ محطة هامة لتقييم حصيلة عقدين من التعاون المثمر واستشراف آفاق مرحلة جديدة من الشراكة أكثر استراتيجية واندماجاً ونجاعة، مؤكدا حرص تونس على تعزيز التعاون مع المكتب الأممي في عدد من القطاعات ذات الأولوية، وخاصة في مجالات الانتقال الطاقي، والتكيّف مع التغيرات المناخية، والتصرف في الموارد المائية، والأمن الغذائي، والتحول الرقمي، والبنية التحتية المستدامة، وتشغيل الشباب وتمكين المرأة.
ومن ناحيته، ثمّن وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة التزام تونس بمقاصد وأهداف منظمة الأمم المتحدة وانخراطها في جملة المبادرات التي تهدف إلى تطوير آلياتها وتعزيز قدرتها العملياتية للاستجابة للتحديات المتزايدة. كما أكد المسؤول الأممي حرص الأمم المتحدة على تعزيز التعاون مع بلادنا وفق الاحتياجات التي تضبطها الدولة التونسية بما يخدم أهداف التنمية الشاملة والأولويات الوطنية لبلادنا.
وتناول اللقاء كذلك مسار إعداد الإطار الاستراتيجي للتعاون بين تونس ومنظومة الأمم المتحدة للفترة 2027-2031، حيث تمّ التأكيد على ضرورة انسجام هذا الإطار مع الأولويات الوطنية التي سيكرّسها المخطط الوطني للتنمية 2026-2030، واعتماد مقاربة قائمة على النتائج والأثر الملموس والاستدامة، فضلا عن أهمية تعبئة التمويلات المبتكرة والميسّرة، وتعزيز نقل التكنولوجيا والمعرفة، ودعم القدرات الوطنية.
كما تمّ التطرّق إلى المبادرة التي تم إطلاقها تحت إشراف الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة لضمان استمرارية نقل الأسمدة عبر مضيق هرمز بما يساهم في الحفاظ على الأمن الغذائي العالمي والحدّ من اضطرابات سلاسل التزويد الزراعي، مع التنويه بالدور العملياتي الذي تضطلع به المنظمة في هذا الإطار.
وفي ختام اللقاء، جدّد الجانبان حرصهما على متابعة مُخرجات هذه الجلسة وتم الاتفاق في هذا الخصوص على تنظيم ورشة عمل خلال الفترة المقبلة لوضع خارطة طريق للتعاون المستقبلي بين الجانبين بناءً على حاجيات بلادنا في مختلف المجالات وعلى الإمكانيات والخبرات التي تتوفر للمكتب الأممي.

M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Etrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Etranger, a tenu, le 13 mai 2026, au siège du Ministère, une séance de travail avec M. Jorge Moreira da Silva, Secrétaire Général Adjoint des Nations Unies et Directeur Exécutif du Bureau des Nations Unies pour les Services d’Appui aux Projets (UNOPS), en visite de travail en Tunisie dans le cadre de la célébration du vingtième anniversaire de l’ouverture du bureau onusien à Tunis. La réunion s’est déroulée en présence du Directeur régional pour l’Afrique de l’UNOPS ainsi que de la Coordinatrice résidente du système des Nations unies en Tunisie.
Cette rencontre a été l’occasion de souligner la profondeur des relations de coopération et de partenariat entre la Tunisie et le système des Nations Unies, fondées sur la confiance mutuelle, le dialogue et l’engagement commun en faveur des principes du multilatéralisme et de la solidarité internationale. Elle a également permis de saluer l’évolution continue de la coopération avec l’UNOPS depuis 2006. M. le Ministre a ainsi mis en avant le rôle joué par cette institution dans le soutien aux efforts de développement en Tunisie, notamment dans les domaines de la santé, de la gestion de projets, du développement des infrastructures, du soutien institutionnel, ainsi que des services logistiques et des achats.
Il convient de rappeler que l’UNOPS assure actuellement la mise en œuvre de 18 projets en Tunisie pour une valeur avoisinant 74,6 millions de dollars américains, en plus de projets réalisés au cours des dernières années pour un montant dépassant 133 millions de dollars, ce qui reflète la confiance mutuelle et l’efficacité du partenariat entre les deux parties.
Dans ce contexte, M. le Ministre a souligné que la célébration du vingtième anniversaire de l’établissement du bureau de l’Organisation en Tunisie constitue une étape importante pour évaluer le bilan de deux décennies de coopération fructueuse et envisager une nouvelle phase de partenariat plus stratégique, intégrée et efficace. Il a réaffirmé la volonté de la Tunisie de renforcer la coopération avec l’UNOPS dans plusieurs secteurs prioritaires, notamment la transition énergétique, l’adaptation aux changements climatiques, la gestion des ressources hydriques, la sécurité alimentaire, la transformation numérique, les infrastructures durables, ainsi que l’emploi des jeunes et l’autonomisation des femmes.
De son côté, le Secrétaire Général Adjoint des Nations Unies a salué l’engagement de la Tunisie en faveur des objectifs et des finalités de l’Organisation des Nations Unies, ainsi que sa participation aux différentes initiatives visant à développer ses mécanismes et à renforcer ses capacités opérationnelles pour répondre aux défis croissants. Le responsable onusien a également réaffirmé la volonté des Nations Unies de renforcer la coopération avec la Tunisie conformément aux besoins définis par l’État tunisien, dans le but de soutenir les objectifs de développement global et les priorités nationales du pays.
La rencontre a également porté sur le processus de préparation du cadre stratégique de coopération entre la Tunisie et le système des Nations Unies pour la période 2027-2031. Les deux parties ont insisté sur la nécessité d’aligner ce cadre sur les priorités nationales consacrées par le Plan national de développement 2026-2030, en adoptant une approche fondée sur les résultats, l’impact concret et la durabilité, tout en mettant l’accent sur la mobilisation de financements innovants et concessionnels, le transfert de technologie et de savoir-faire, ainsi que le renforcement des capacités nationales.
Les discussions ont aussi abordé l’initiative lancée sous la supervision du Secrétaire Général des Nations Unies afin de garantir la continuité du transport des engrais à travers le détroit d’Ormuz, contribuant ainsi à préserver la sécurité alimentaire mondiale et à limiter les perturbations des chaînes d’approvisionnement agricoles. Le rôle opérationnel joué par l’Organisation dans ce cadre a également été salué.
À l’issue de la rencontre, les deux parties ont renouvelé leur volonté d’assurer le suivi des conclusions de cette séance. Il a été convenu, à cet effet, d’organiser prochainement un atelier de travail afin d’élaborer une feuille de route pour la coopération future entre les deux parties, sur la base des besoins de la Tunisie dans les différents domaines ainsi que des capacités et de l’expertise dont dispose l’UNOPS.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, held a working session, on 13 May 2026 at the Ministry’s headquarters, with Mr Jorge Moreira da Silva, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), who is on a working visit to Tunisia on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the UN office in Tunisia. The meeting was attended by the Office’s Regional Director for Africa and the UN Resident Coordinator in Tunisia.
The session provided an opportunity to underscore the depth of the cooperation and partnership between Tunisia and the United Nations system, built on mutual trust, dialogue, and a shared commitment to the principles of multilateralism and international solidarity. It also highlighted the steady progress in cooperation with UNOPS since 2006, with the Minister commending the role played by the UN office in supporting Tunisia’s development efforts, particularly in the areas of health, project management, infrastructure development, institutional support, logistics, and procurement.
It is worth noting that the UN office is currently implementing 18 projects in Tunisia worth approximately US$74.6 million, in addition to projects completed over the past years whose total value exceeded US$133 million, reflecting the mutual trust and effectiveness of the partnership between the two sides.
In this context, the Minister stressed that the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of the UN office in Tunisia represents an important milestone for assessing two decades of fruitful cooperation and for looking ahead to a new phase of partnership that is more strategic, integrated, and effective. He affirmed Tunisia’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the UN office in a number of priority sectors, especially energy transition, climate change adaptation, water resource management, food security, digital transformation, sustainable infrastructure, youth employment, and women’s empowerment.
For his part, the Under-Secretary-General commended Tunisia’s commitment to the purposes and objectives of the United Nations and its engagement in a number of initiatives aimed at improving the organization’s mechanisms and strengthening its operational capacity to respond to growing challenges. He also affirmed the United Nations’ readiness to enhance cooperation with Tunisia in line with the needs identified by the Tunisian State, in a way that serves the goals of comprehensive development and the national priorities of Tunisia.
The meeting also addressed the preparation of the strategic cooperation framework between Tunisia and the United Nations system for the period 2027–2031, stressing the need for this framework to be aligned with the national priorities to be embodied in the 2026–2030 National Development Plan, and to adopt a results-based approach focused on tangible impact and sustainability, in addition to the importance of mobilizing innovative and concessional financing, strengthening technology and knowledge transfer, and supporting national capacities.
The discussion also covered the initiative launched under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General to ensure the continued transport of fertilizers through the Strait of Hormuz, thereby contributing to global food security and reducing disruptions to agricultural supply chains, while noting the operational role played by the Organization in this regard.
At the end of the meeting, both sides renewed their commitment to ensure the follow-up on the outcomes of the session and agreed to organize a workshop in the coming period to develop a roadmap for future cooperation between the two sides, based on Tunisia’s needs in various fields and on the capabilities and expertise available to the UN office.
