The Regional Programme Political Dialogue and Regional Integration South Mediterranean (PolDiMed) is based in Tunis and implements cross-national projects with reference to South (Maghreb) and East Mediterranea

“Digital Frontlines: Cybersecurity, Geopolitics and Digital Governance in the MENA Region”
On 13-14 February 2026 in Tunis, KAS PolDiMed, together with SALMA Dialogue, hosted an expert workshop on cybersecurity, bringing together leading experts and practitioners from across the MENA region and Europe.
Discussions focused on:
• Evolving cyber threat dynamics and strategic competition,
• Digital governance and digital sovereignty frameworks,
• Regional and international cooperation in cyberspace.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for in-depth strategic dialogue on cybersecurity and regional stability.

Parliamentary Pathways for Climate, Innovation, and Civic Engagement in the MENA–Mediterranean Region

From 6 to 9 February, 2026, the Regional Program Political Dialogue South Mediterranean (PolDiMed) of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and Parliamentarians for Climate (P4C) jointly organized the Third Meeting of the MENA Chapter of Parliamentarians for Climate (P4C) under the title “Parliamentary Pathways for Climate, Innovation, and Civic Engagement in the MENA–Mediterranean Region” at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence, Cairo, Egypt.

The regional conference brought together former and current parliamentarians, experts, civil society, academics, and key stakeholders from the MENA region, Africa, and the European Union to address regional climate challenges and explore collaborative solutions.

Expert panels and thematic discussions on climate security, digital solutions, and civic engagement
Engagement of youth and civil society in climate governance
Field visits providing practical insights into ongoing climate and energy initiatives
Strengthening parliamentary leadership in climate resilience and sustainable development
