ROAD CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

The public is hereby advised that there will be road closure tomorrow 29th January 2026 for road works in between Sonasi and Tonga Power at Tofoa, Mataki'eua at 10:00am - 5:00pm. We kindly ask the public for their continuous support in the above matter to avoid any accidents. Please refer to the map below for the road works for tomorrow.

The Minister for Infrastructure and Tourism, Hon. Semisi Kioa Lafu Sika, met with Mr. David Anderson, a Resilience Consultant employed by the Ministry's Building Control Division, and Lisiate Tupou of Quality Designs this morning at the Minister's office at MOI. This meeting's goal is to inform and brief the Minister on the plans and designs for Tonga's new museum. The design appears promising and gives us hope that it will happen even though not everything is finalized.
