A stronger economy requires strong partnerships.
In his Keynote Address at the opening of the 2026 Tonga National Business Conference, Prime Minister Lord Fakafanua highlighted the shared commitment between Government and the private sector to address barriers to growth, unlock new opportunities, and strengthen Tonga’s economic future.
“The Government has listened carefully to concerns about the cost of doing business, workforce development, access to finance, infrastructure, digital transformation, MSME growth, and opportunities for rural and outer island communities. These insights guide our reforms.”
Led by the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development in partnership with the Tonga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two-day Conference provides an important forum for Government, the private sector, and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, identify solutions, and advance Tonga’s economic development.
