🇸🇴🇹🇷H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar (Ali Balad), State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, met with H.E. Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, in Istanbul.

The two officials discussed regional issues of mutual interest and ways to further strengthen the already strong bilateral relations between Somalia and Türkiye.

Ambassador Fathudin Ali Mohamed Fathi Ospite today attended the opening ceremony of the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) in Antalya.

During the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan highlighted progress on the Türkiye–Somalia spaceport project near Mogadishu, which is expected to become operational by mid-2027. The project marks an important new chapter in Somalia–Türkiye cooperation in space, technology and innovation. 🇸🇴🇹🇷
