Bilkent University Library invites researchers and faculty members to join Wiley’s Free Training Program 2026, a series of online sessions covering current topics in scholarly communication and academic publishing.

The program includes sessions on research integrity and ethics, responsible AI use in publishing, accessibility in scholarly communication, clinical research reporting, and the future of academic publishing.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bayter and his students from the Department of Information and Records Management at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University visited our library as part of the course “Description and Access to Information Resources II.” 📚

The visit began with an introduction to our library’s services and collections. This was followed by a presentation delivered by our Technical Services librarians, providing a comprehensive overview of our cataloging processes and practices.

The students had the opportunity to complement their theoretical knowledge with practical insights, while gaining a better understanding of library workflows.

📌 In order to help students prepare for final exams, between May 4, 2026, and May 21, 2026, Bilkent University Main Campus Library will remain open from 08:30 AM to 03:00 AM on weekdays, and from 09:00 AM to 03:00 AM on weekends. These extended hours will apply only to the reading rooms in A Block. Please note that there will be no circulation service after 11:30 PM.
📍Meanwhile, the East Campus Library will be open from 08:30 AM to 11:00 PM on weekdays, and will be closed on weekends.

On April 27–28, Bilkent University Library conducted its first Career Experience Program, welcoming undergraduate students from Information Management departments for a comprehensive introduction to the profession. The two day intensive program was designed to offer participants a closer look at the diverse operational units within a leading academic library.
