Strengthening Ghana – Türkiye Economic Cooperation 🇬🇭🇹🇷

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Ankara is pleased to announce an official invitation extended to H.E. Amb. Abdul Nasiru-Deen to participate in the Anatolian Economic Diplomacy Program organized by MÜSİAD in Türkiye.

This initiative serves as a strategic platform to deepen bilateral economic relations, promote trade partnerships, and explore investment opportunities across key regions of Anatolia. It also brings together diplomats and business leaders to foster meaningful collaboration and shared growth.

We look forward to leveraging this opportunity to further enhance Ghana–Türkiye economic ties and create pathways for sustainable development and mutual prosperity.

Advancing Ghana–Türkiye Cooperation 🇬🇭🇹🇷

I successfully engaged through the Mission with the SANKON Industry and Trade Confederation, led by its President Ferudun Cevahiroglu, alongside SATKON President Ali Altuntas, aimed at strengthening trade, industrial collaboration, and investment ties between Ghana and Türkiye.

Key initiatives include Ghana’s participation in the upcoming Konya Agricultural Fair happening on the 8th and 9th of April 2026, a strategic presentation to SANKON members in May 2026, and a major industrial development conference in July fully supported by SANKON, including logistics for Ghanaian delegates.

Discussions also covered a proposed Turkish business delegation to Ghana and partnerships in healthcare, particularly the establishment of modern diagnostic centers, reflecting a shared vision for sustainable growth and cooperation.

The Embassy is pleased to share highlights from the official working visit of the Hon. Minister for the Interior of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak to the Republic of Türkiye.

During the visit, the Hon. Minister met with H.E. Ali Yerlikaya and engaged in discussions aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in internal security, intelligence coordination, and counter-narcotics initiatives.

The itinerary also included a joint meeting with the Department of Intelligence and Narcotics of the Turkish National Police, as well as visits to Machinery and Chemicals Industry Inc., the Ministry of National Defense, and the Presidency of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD).

The visit further consolidates Ghana–Türkiye relations and reflects a shared commitment to enhancing institutional cooperation for peace, security, and sustainable development.

Last weekend, the Embassy met with the Ghanaian student community in Türkiye as part of its continued engagement with nationals residing in the country.

The interaction provided an opportunity to discuss student welfare, academic progress, and avenues for strengthening collaboration within the community. The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ghanaian students and ensuring their wellbeing throughout their stay.

The Embassy encourages all Ghanaian students to remain focused, law-abiding, and exemplary representatives of Ghana.
