Naturally Langkawi Langkawi was named Malaysia’s best island for 2026. Now, one of its beaches has been named the country’s best too.

Tanjung Rhu takes its name from the casuarinas that line it — “rhu”, in Malay. There’s something about the sway of the trees, the lull of the waves against its pale, powdery sand. Perhaps that’s what makes this beach so difficult to leave.
