The Digital Empowerment for Seniors programme is a two-session digital literacy initiative hosted by the La Horquetta Public Library to help senior citizens navigate the changing online environment confidently and safely. Participants will learn practical skills in online safety and privacy, identifying misinformation, evaluating the reliability of online information, and using digital media responsibly.

By the end of the programme, participants should be able to:
1. Identify common online risks and apply basic measures to protect their personal information.
2. Recognise warning signs of misinformation and potentially misleading online content.
3. Evaluate the credibility and reliability of online sources.
4. Demonstrate responsible digital behaviour when accessing and sharing information online.

In observance of World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2026, the La Horquetta Public Library encourages everyone to prioritise their mental well-being and help foster a community where mental health is understood, supported and valued.

Mental health is an essential part of our overall well-being. Just as we care for our physical health, we must also take care of our minds by practising self-care, getting adequate rest, staying connected with loved ones and seeking professional support when necessary.
