SECRET T&TEC PROTECTED LIST REVEALED IN PARLIAMENT
In Parliament today, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar revealed the names of individuals, entities and political figures who she said were included on a secret list of accounts allegedly protected from electricity disconnection for non-payment under the previous administration.
The Prime Minister stated that while ordinary citizens and businesses faced the prospect of disconnection when bills went unpaid, certain accounts were reportedly granted special treatment through what was described as a protected list.
She said the disclosure raises serious questions about fairness, accountability, and whether all citizens were treated equally under the law.
