Join us for our upcoming Golden Club Meeting on Wednesday 4th November, featuring a special visit from the Alzheimer's Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AzATT)!

🎬🎶 Lights, Camera, Calypso!

On Monday 26th October, Couva Public Library hosted a special Film Screening School Tour featuring Bomber’s Dream — a calypso story celebrating the life and legacy of the iconic Mighty Bomber! 🎤✨

Presented in partnership with NALIS and Kaiso Street Society, the session featured presenter Jesse Ryan, who engaged students from Couva East Secondary and Couva West Secondary in an exciting interactive discussion and Q&A.

The students asked and answered many questions, shared their thoughts, and gained valuable insights into the rich heritage of Trinidad and Tobago’s calypso music. The session was engaging and exciting, with prizes won and information well received by all! 🏆👏🏽

A wonderful opportunity to celebrate our cultural heritage, inspire curiosity, and keep the legacy of our musical icons alive! ❤️

🍎🌽 Golden Members Club Celebrates World Food Day! 🥕🍍

On Wednesday 21st October, our Golden Members Club celebrated 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐲 with an exciting and interactive session focused on food, nutrition and the importance of food in our daily lives. 💚

Members enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including the 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳, 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, and 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐱? These games encouraged participation, tested their knowledge of local foods, and brought plenty of excitement and laughter! 😄🎉

The session also included a meaningful discussion on the importance of food and its functions in keeping us healthy, nourished and energised.

It was a wonderful time of learning, fellowship and celebrating our rich culinary heritage!❤️

On Saturday 3rd October, members of the Golden Members Club enjoyed a wonderful day trip to the beautiful island of Tobago in recognition of International Day of Older Persons. 🎉

The day was filled with fun, laughter, sightseeing and memorable experiences, including a special visit to the Scarborough Public Library and Healing with Horses. 📚🌺

It was a fantastic opportunity to explore, connect, make memories and celebrate the joy of ageing while embracing new adventures! ❤️✨
