Today we had a very productive meeting with representatives from the North West Regional Health Authority as we begin planning a major Health Care Initiative scheduled for June 2026 to benefit residents of my district.
Following our discussions, we visited the beautiful La Vigie site in Paramin, one of the many gems within our community.
This upcoming initiative will focus on improving access to health services and promoting the wellbeing of our residents. I look forward to working closely with the NWRHA to deliver a meaningful and impactful event for the people of our community.

Dear Residents,
Please be advised that derelict or abandoned vehicles left in public spaces may be removed in accordance with Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Litter Act, Chapter 30:52.
🔎 What is considered a derelict vehicle?
A vehicle may be classified as derelict if:
• It appears abandoned due to its condition.
• It is left in a public place without a valid license issued by the Licensing Authority.
📌 How is the owner informed?
• A Litter Removal Order (Notice) may be issued requiring the vehicle to be removed within 24 hours.
• This notice ensures the public space is restored to a satisfactory condition.
⚖️ What are the fines for having a derelict vehicle?
1️⃣ A person who fails to comply with a Notice is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $4,000.
2️⃣ Litter Prevention Wardens (LPW), Municipal Police (MP), Public Health Officers (PHO), or Public Health Inspectors (PHI) have the authority to serve a Notice. Failure to comply may result in the offender being summoned to the Magistrate’s Court.
3️⃣ The Municipal Police have the authority to remove the derelict vehicle and recover ALL costs associated with the removal from the person responsible.
👮♂️ Litter Prevention Wardens are on patrol in your area.
Let’s work together to keep the Diego Martin Region clean, safe, and free of derelict vehicles.
