We stand on the shoulders of giants like Tubal Uriah "Buzz" Butler, whose fearless leadership during the 1937 Fyzabad riots ignited the fight for workers' rights, fair treatment, and dignity in the workplace.

To every worker dedicating their time, skills, and passion to building our nation, thank you. Enjoy a safe and restful holiday! โš’๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

An interesting and nostalgic read on the history and legacy of post offices throughout Trinidad and Tobago. ๐Ÿ“ฎ

Apart from newspapers, technology has all but destroyed the video rental store, film camera, physical maps, travel agencies and the place that, two generations ago, every person considered the centrepoint of town and village life, the post office.

There was a time when every community revolved around one.
Today, many of those buildings stand abandoned.

A relaunch of address cards was done for the community of Guayaguayare to update sub-community names such as New Lands Village, La Brea Village, etc.

๐Ÿ“ฌ The S42 Standard Addressing System is an internationally recognised addressing standard that provides clear and structured addresses for homes and businesses across Trinidad and Tobago.

Benefits of a standardised address system include:

โœ… Improved mail and package delivery
โœ… Faster emergency response services
โœ… Easier navigation and location identification
โœ… Better access to utilities and government services
โœ… Stronger connectivity for citizens and communities nationwide

Remarks were delivered on the importance of proper addressing systems and continued community development by:

โบ The Honourable Wilfred Morris, MP for the Mayaro Constituency and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister
โบ Mr. George Alexis, TTPost Managing Director
โบ Mr. Keonne K. James, TTPost General Manager, Operations
โบ Mr. Micaiah Thomas, President, Nariva/Mayaro Branch Association

Also in attendance were Mr. Ryan David, General Manager, Sales and Marketing (Ag.), Mr. Raymond Calliste, President of the La Savanne Village Council, and Councillor Ms. Delavernne Louison.
