With all the good that was said in the article by Mr Gowtam Maharaj it seems almost insidious to pick out that statement, which they are paraphrasing btw, to blast as the headline. Below is the excerpt of what he said and I encourage all comrades to not be troubled by sensationalized headlines but to read the full articles to get proper context 👇🏽 “The committee’s report will influence, in terms of advice, what should go forward. So to say at this stage that bids will be reopened, you know, will be pre-empting what the report has not produced as yet,” he said.
Chairman of Guaracara Refining Company Limited Gowtam Maharaj says it is too early to determine whether bids will be reopened for the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery.

Petrotrin was pulling in 15 to 20 BILLION every year
in 2017, Petrotrin had $20,000,000,000 revenue
Espinet said they saving some of that money to pay debt (NiQuan will be a different post one day).
Then the country went crazy, closed the refinery and set up a company that is making $4 billion. And that company has to pay Petrotrin's debt.
So when they say the country has no money, remember why.
