Today at Queen’s Hall, the Buy Local, Build Trinbago Charter was signed by members of the Innovation Association of Trinidad and Tobago marking a renewed commitment to creating opportunities for local businesses, entrepreneurs and innovators to grow, compete and succeed.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag.), Neville Alexander, highlighted the connection between innovation and buying local; noting that innovation can mean improving a product, using technology more efficiently or finding new ways to bring a local product to market.

The Charter brings Government, businesses, innovators and other stakeholders together to help create an environment where good ideas can become viable businesses, while opening pathways for more Trinidad and Tobago products to reach regional and international markets.
