Today we celebrate World Water Day 🌎 and In essence we have decided to show you the steps in which we filtrate and treat our water before drinking at Standby Water.
A short video attached shows how salt water Is transferred through pipelines from the ocean to our treatment facility to be converted to fresh water.
According to the World Health Organization when measuring the proximity of TDS (Total dissolved solids -which comprise inorganic salts.) During water testing, anything between 150—300 milligrams per litre is considered excellent. Illustrated in the video, when tested our TDS estimated to an excellent result of 220 ppm.
Simultaneously, we then check turbidity. Turbidity is the amount of cloudiness in the Water.
With reference to the WHO turbidity standard of drinking water establishes that it shouldn't be more than 5 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) and should ideally be below 1 NTU.
Illustrated in our video our turbidity resulted to 0.32 NTU.
After those two process, we then checked for the amount of chlorine present in the water to ensure safe for drinking.
Due to our excellent results given from our TDS and turbidity testing, we then proceeded to a basic chlorine test to ensure maximum approval for drinking. Illustrated in the video, when tested and placed next to the bottle for color comparison of results our level of chlorine resulted in full approval for drinking purposes.
Here at Standby water, we offer truck born water throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
Approved for drinking & quality service .
