We maintain the national archive of births, adoptions, marriages and deaths from 1893; record land titles and maintain a register of companies/businesses.

Land Settlement Agency Outreach Programme 26/11/2013

The Registrar General Department routinely conducts guest lectures to tertiary level students and professional organisations (e.g ICATT) as part of its outreach programme to sensitise stakeholders on the practices and procedures of its Registries.

Deputy Registrar General Mrs. Nicole Moonan-Bhagan, at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment’s awareness session titled, “Improving the Ease of Doing Business in Trinidad & Tobago”.

Ms. Moonan-Bhagan lectured on the amendments to the Companies Act and the introduction of online registration at the Companies Registry - both of which have contributed significantly to a reduction in the time to register a company/business by facilitating online incorporation/registration and eliminating cumbersome requirements.

The Public is advised that Ground Floor services at REGISTRATION HOUSE P.O.S are suspended for the day to facilitate the ex*****on of pest control activities. Documents cannot be accepted, TODAY ONLY, in the Civil and Land Registries.

Companies Registry services continue as usual on the 1st Floor of the building. Applications for 'First Name Insertions' will continue as usual on the 3rd Floor.

NOTE: All Civil Registry services can be accessed at the Arima and San Fernando Offices and Land & Companies Registry service can be accessed at the San Fernando Office.
