We celebrate not only your grades, but the consistency, courage and determination it took to reach this important milestone.

To the parents, guardians, teachers and loved ones who encouraged, guided and sacrificed along the way, this achievement belongs to you too.

As you begin your next chapter, continue to believe in yourselves, remain humble in success and never be afraid to seek help when the road becomes difficult.

And if your results were not what you hoped for, remember: one result does not define your ability or determine your future.

Today, the Claxton Bay Constituency joins the nation in honouring the courage, resilience and enduring legacy of the African men, women and children whose sacrifices paved the way for freedom.

Emancipation reminds us not only of our history, but also of our shared responsibility to uphold the values of dignity, justice, unity and respect for all people. As we celebrate the rich contributions of African descendants to Trinidad and Tobago, may we continue to build communities that reflect the strength, resilience and hope of those who came before us.

On this African Emancipation Day, let us honour our past, celebrate our heritage, and work together to build an even stronger future for generations to come.

Happy African Emancipation Day!
