Scarborough Library Retells Tobago 17th Century War

In commemoration of Tobago Day 2016, the Scarborough Library Facility is conducting information tours on the 1677 battle between the Dutch and the French.
The tours will give patrons highlights into what was deemed as the greatest battle in the Caribbean within the 17th century, over ownership of the island of Tobago. Patrons can witness this from Monday 28th November to Friday 02nd December 2016 at 10:30am and 4:30pm daily.
Additionally, the Roxborough and Charlotteville branch libraries will also be focusing on an historical perspective of the island as they will be hosting exhibitions featuring Tobago copies of slave registers of persons who worked on estates across Tobago. Members of the public are permitted to peruse these registers.
